Well, Heather has been on 4 different medications since last June to try to get control of her seizures. Nothing has really worked until this last med. She will have about 1 month of no seizures and then it stops working. Every time we up the dosage, it happens again. We are going to up the dosage yet again tomorrow and see what happens. The good thing is that she is developing right on track at the moment. So, while we hate to see the seizures, they don't seem to be bothering her too much and they don't really interrupt her life really. It's just hard to know your child's brain is not working properly and may potentially one day just freak out and not stop seizing. I sure hope that we never have a day like that!
We go back to her specialist in June for her annual exams - MRI, renal ultrasound, eye check, and EEG. Thanks for all thoughts and prayers.

I hope this med does the trick. :hug99: It's good to know she's on track for everything else. :)

:hug99: I hope and pray the seizures will end or lessen as much as possible. :hug99:

I'm glad that she's doing so well and developping on track. I hope that they can find something to reliably reduce her seizures.

I really hope that they can find the right group of meds to help her seizures. A friend of mine from church has dealt with what you go through with the seizures and her daughter was in 7th grade when they finally found her right "potion"
I am so glad she is doing so well development wise!!!

Goodness, I can't imagine. You deserve a lot of these. :hug99:
All good thoughts that the right drug mixture/dose will be found for precious Heather!

Ahhhh - you guys are so sweet! I haven't been around much here lately and didn't expect such warm fuzzies! You guys are wonderful! We upped her dose today. The good thing is that each time the seizures come back (before we up her dose again) they are getting more and more mild. So, that makes me think that we are on the right track - we just need to get her at the right dose. The problem with this drug - Depakote, for anyone who is interested - is that one side effect is that it can really put kids in a fog and just halt all learning. That's definitely not something we want. We haven't seen that from her though, so we shall keep our fingers crossed!
Thanks again everyone!
