I had thought of a couple things I wanted to ask this week... but I can't remember what they were now. Too many other things running through my head... anyway...

Are you planning to do anything special to celebrate Earth Day?

I'm getting my tubes in my ears, does that count? :giggle:

No not really. I went to our local walmart this weekend because they were going to give out free reusable bags, well our walmarts had no clue about it. It was plastered all over their website! :gah: Katie and I did go to an Earth day celebration at Fort Lee last week. They had people there talking about going greener and had some neat stuff for kids.

No :shuffle: But, we are planning on taking the boys to an Earth Day event at the zoo, but it's not until May 3rd, because the zoo doesn't open until May 1st.

Me & the boys are planting some flowers & some seeds that Eliot brought from school (see what comes out of that), we've talking about earth & going green all weekend (E has been into it for awhile).

We went to Walmart to get a few thing & got the free bag but we missed out on the free bag at Home Depot :mope: and our Kroger didn't have the black bags they had on their flyers :disbelief:

we planted some things on Saturday, but spent most of the weekend cutting some bushes down. :( Very anti-earth day. :shuffle:

Anna and I planted a tree in a local conservation area on Saturday. :) They had a bunch of different activities, but that was by far the highlight for her. She said that tomorrow, we should sing "Happy Birthday" to the earth, and do something nice for the earth.

Tomorrow is Aubrey's birthday so we'll be doing birthday stuff. But on Wednesday, we're going around Addison's school grounds to pick up trash as our Earth Day service project for Daisy Girl Scouts.

I know Aidan's class is doing something special, but I don't know what. And my husband went to an Earth Day festival in CA yesterday.
I am doing my part by not driving today. And today I took the plunge and I finally ordered a low flow showerhead. And this morning, the kids and I cleared out an area behind the garage and dug a hole to do a compost, and we put in our base layers. :)

Our city is having a tree planting/walk this weekend, I might take Paige down there just to observe the festivities..face painting, demonstrations etc. As for Earth Day tomorrow..no plans so far :shuffle:

Well, this is nothing out of the ordinary but I did carpool today. I typically carpool 3 to 4 times a week, sometimes 5 depending on our schedules.

I would like to do some planting but our weather has been bizarre so I dont know if that will happen

Paige told me that tomorrow the school is going to go around the neighbourhood and pick up litter..wouldn't it be nice if people didn't freaking litter in the first place!?

Not really - DH is very anti-"Democratic propaganda" :shuffle: so he wouldn't participate in anything anyway. Caroline is doing some activities at school, and I'm trying to limit driving to save on gas.

ETA: And I've also been working on reusing plastic bags/replacing them with cloth bags.

We don't have anything too special planned. But, Brookelyn and I will be pulling some weeds and taking out some old bushy plants in the planters and this weekend replanting some new things in there.

Hanna's school did garbage pickup on Friday ... I don't know what they have planned for tomorrow.
