I know we've had threads like this before, but something happened to me today that got me thinking.
What annoying, every day things do you consider the lowest of the low?

My husband leaving trash (used napkin, empty water bottle) on the counter instead of putting it in the trashcan that he has to WALK PAST to get out the door to his car! Is said trashcan invisible? Have his arm muscles atrophied to the point that he cannot lift a water bottle? What will it take?

To answer my own question...I think it is really low to pass someone when they pull over for an ambulance!
This seems to happen to me a lot, probably since I live in the land of asshole drivers. Today I was coming home from a birthday party with the kids in the car, and an ambulance came up behind me. I pulled over for it, it passed, and when I tried to get back out into the road, a ton of cars passed me. I had to wait a while to get back into the line of traffic. Once I did, a fire truck came up behind me, I pulled over and was passed again! Seriously I think you really are an asshole if you do that. :giggle:

Mine does this too, with pop cans mostly. It drives me batty!

Michele, I totally second you on that.
Another driver thing that really, really pisses me off is when I act like a nice person and stop to let someone pull out and they don't acknowledge it at all. Makes me FURIOUS!

Michele, people do that here and I think it's really crappy. I have nearly had accidents because people are such jerks.
Another one of my favorites- you're waiting in line, and another line opens. People RUSH to get there, rather than allowing you to go in front of them, because you were unlucky to be standing in the slow lane.
One more traffic one - the people that will rush past you in a line, and then try and merge into the group. I admit, this really ticks me off. I have to wait in line - so can you.
Clearly, I have a problem with impatient people when it comes down to it.

:gah: Tell me about it!!! I picked up a used tissue, the wrapper to some chocolate, and other trash. What I REALLY loathe is when he deposits said trash less than three feet from the trash can and just leaves it there. :gah:

Another driving one--when there's a sign that says lane closing 1 mile ahead, yet people drive it in all the way up until it ends, wanting you to let them in. I hate that I have to wait in line while other people disregard the sign and keep driving. :gah:

Same here. It drives me crazy that Jay leaves his empty water bottles and glasses sitting out on the table beside his chair. SO many times the boys have knocked the glass over onto the floor and it has smashed.
How fricken hard is it to put a glass in the dishwasher???

Yep, Matt is another one that doesn't pick up after himself. The thing that REALLY chaps my a$$ is when he puts his sweatshirts on the kitchen counter. HELLO?? Of all the places to pile up your clothes, the kitchen counter is definitely NOT the place to do it.

I remembered some more while cleaning up the main floor
~Jay leaves his socks lying beside his chair. The boys have picked up on this habit now:gah:.
~People who invite themselves to my house. :angry2:*hence the reason for my frantic clean up*

~ Women dressed like hoochie mommas at their kid's baseball game... couldn't they find something more respectful to wear at least for that time (and I guess school activities since I'm sure that's how they dress for that too!)
~ Oh yeah, and the guy wearing the t-shirt with a pic of the back of a big butt lady wearing a thong... seriosly guy? :disbelief:
~ One last one  My kitchen floor - which it has always been an annoyance to begin with - that feels like the floor at a beach house since the boys have been playing in the sandbox almost every day this week... having to constantly sweep the floor is getting old fast! :gah:

Blair used to do that too. I took off the top of the hamper & it worked... he was just too lazy to lift the dang top & stick the clothes in there! Geeez! :disbelief:

That is probably his problem, Mary  But, I'm a bitch and refuse to take the top off of the hamper, because I don't want to look at the dirty clothes :heee:

 Trish. The only reason I gave in is b/c the hamper is in a place where it cannot be seen first hand & b/c it looks better than the mount of dirty clothes sitting close to the bedroom door :)

Our hamper sits almost behind our bedroom door, so we are the only ones who see it, but I'm not giving in

This one hasn't happened in a long time, but sometimes when I mention to people that my mom is hard of hearing, they say "What?" and think they are so funny and clever. Needless to say, it goes over like a lead balloon with me.
