So I'm a little bummed...

Lauryn turned 6 today.

A few weeks ago, she asked me to make her a birthday card to send to PBS kids sprout's birthday show. (Actually, she asked me to do it last year but i just didn't get my act together)

They pick about 5 cards a day to show on TV. It took me a week to come up with a worthy enough card to send. Mailed it in plenty of time. Today I thought that they would show the birthday greetings throughout the day so we had the TV on from about 5 p.m on. Well duh, I found out that they only show the birthday cards from 9 a.m to noon. I could have sworn I see those birthday greetings at odd times. Guess not.

So we'll never find out if our card made the cut. :(

That's a bummer- is that a new thing? I know we've seen birthday cards before, and I'm sure it's been in the evening. Good that it was on the website though!

I feel your pain - the same thing happened w/ Rayna!

I made her a card for her 4th birthday (using dragon tails :) ) and sent it in with plenty of time. When I did it, they had the Birthday show and Rayna loved to watch it. It was shown several times throughout the day.

By the time her birthday rolled around, they changed to the "SunnySide Up Show" and only did it in the morning. So, we just had to look at it on the website. Rayna barely noticed. :lol:

Eleanor- they've been doing birthdays for a while- at least a couple of years since we've been watching sprout.

Sandy- that makes me feel better that I'm not the only one! So now I get it, it's not the Birthday Show anymore? They showed the birthday show a few times a day. It's just the sunny side up show that shows the birthdays? Why did I not catch on to that? :duh:

I think Lauryn now lost interest in Sprout. Zero sprout today. She has switched to Noggin.
