OK Last year I started to keep tropical fish, and after a year of ICK (from a new fish), Velvet (from a tank change) and algea blooms I thought I was doing great as I hadnt lost a fish and my tank is crystal clear for the past three months. Then last month I lost one of my tetras to a fight with my husbands huge pearl gouramie. Then I noticed that one of my mollys had been beaten up to, but she looked like she developed blisters just before she died two days ago, and today the same thing with one of my corys (blisters and beaten up looking), that died today. Try as I might I cant find any diseases that have the same symptoms. I thought it might be gas poisoning blisters but they look nothing like the pictures I have found on this. All of my tank readings for ammonia, nitrates, nitrites temp ect are normal and I use a regular salt bath and chemicals to keep my tank in the right ranges and disease free. Does anyone else keep fish that may be able to help with this weird fish disease?
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but I couldnt find the pet forums.
Any help would be appreciated,
Andrea

I wonder if it's the ICK that hasn't really gone away?
How often are you doing water changes?

I change all my filter media on a monthly basis and I do 1/4 tank water changes every two months and 1/2 tank every four (My tank hasnt been established long enough for 6 month full changes as After ICK wiped out 4 of my angels and the fish that brought it in I completely cleaned out my tank to get it 100%clear of the ick. Thats when from the stess I lost 2 female betas to velvet. I've been doing freshwater aquarium salt with all my additions of cycle, waste, and aqua to keep ICK out as well as having pennies at the bottom of the tank. (We cant buy Tetracycline for tanks anymore) so it shouldnt be ICK, and it doesnt look at all all like ICK. As its not even spots but like patches of scales that look like the fish has been fighting and then these tiny blister like bubbles on the patch develope. None of the other fish seem to be affected thats why I thought that the big gourammie was beating them up because he's very aggresssive/territorial, and even with all the plant cover they werent fast enough to get away. Now I'm pretty sure there is something in my tank thats affecting them but I just cant figure it. Then next one to get it I'll try to get pictures of the spot because it really is beyond my expereince and the only source here in town says she's never heard of this before, and to keep treating the tank with salt.
