My friend Jenn had her baby!!!

Yes, Surrogacy Jenn! She was due 3/7, and her little MAN decided to make his appearance on 3/14!!! 7lb 2oz of PERFECT MIRACLE!!!! She went natural just lie Missy, I'm so proud of both of them!!! All of our girlfriends are going into the city to see them on Saturday so I'll report back more then!

She's having some trouble getting him to latch on to her one-and-only real breast, so any and all prayers for her to be able to nurse are needed and welcome!!!

She was at St. Luke's Rosevelt (I'm not spelling that right), it's not far from where she lives. Her closest of our group of 6 best friends, Stef, came up from DC this weekend (My closest best friend Wendy was supposed to fly in from Chicago too but her stupid flight was cancelled :( ) So we had a major Auntie Invasion yesterday!!!! Omg, he's so precious-I held him almost the whole time, I fed him his bottle, he burped like a champ, and then fell back asleep on my chest... heaven! (Yes, I'm getting the fever... Frank already has it... yeah, that's a story for another thread :giggle: ) I just LOVE that little face when they're being burped, sitting up and their face is resting in your hand and they're all drunk looking from eating with their dazed eyes and little wrinkled foreheads... :love3: He's just delicious! And so small! He's about 7 lb, but I forget what a normal size baby is like-mine were 25-30% bigger :giggle:

She's trying to nurse on her one breast, and it's going okay, Her supply seems decent, she gets 1.75 in a half hour of pumping about every 2 hours or so, and she's also supplementing with formula and letting him nurse naturally, but her letdown is slow even when full and he gets frustrated, and he's got a poor latch. So the poor thing has got the feed trifecta going on-I've been there, I boy do I feel for her. I wish it could just go smoothly for her after all she's been through, but she's seriously doing amazing, I'm so proud of her.

We have been mistaken for sisters before. :heart: We have also been mistaken for a lesbian couple before, (through no fault of our own display, believe me :giggle: ) but still... that's a long story. We realized last night that we met 28 1/2 years ago... that's insane! I feel like I shouldn't be old enough to have a friend I've known for that long! We took her out to dinner, which was her first time out without Jake, and she did amazingly well!

I love that pic of her :love3: but there some even more amazing ones-they did kangaroo care with her and with her husband, and the pictures of daddy with his bare baby on his bare chest are just unbelievable. I just don't feel right posting pics of her dh. Although, their entire wedding scrapbook is in my gallery, and as the groom you can see what a gorgeous couple they are!

Seeing as how I still can't believe I'M a mom, I'm still totally in shock that JENN IS A MOM!!!! WHAT A BLESSING BEYOND WORDS!!!! Thank you all so much for all of your support, love and prayers, I know that she feels them all and that they have been strengthened on their journey by the love and faith that have been coming at them from around the world. Really, I'm so grateful to have you all in my life. :heart:
