It was in 1997 with an agency that hired me out to work for a major bank (I traced bounced cheques) So yes I got the job. I have been in my current job for 10 years now and I didn't have to interview for it because my father is part owner of the company.

Uhm, 1998 or 1999? I interviewed for a position at a lawfirm, got it, worked there until the day before Caroline was born in 2001. Was one of my favorite jobs ever.

It was in the summertime, I interviewed with a local business. I was offered the job, but it turns out it was only going to be temporary so I passed.

2001, for an internal promotion, and I got the job. Jobs I've gotten after that have not required an interview.

I guess it would be May 2001. I still work here but I have had several phone interviews with other companies since then but there weren't a good fit so I never bothered to interview in person.

Good luck, Karly. :hug99:
If the question was, "when was the last time you did an interview as the interviewer?" I could have answered Friday, and I gave the girl the job!! I finally found someone to fill the role as my PA/Receptionist :woot:

March 18th, 2008, 07:06 PM
Thanks, everyone. :hug99:
How do you think it went?
I think it went well. :dunno: I mean, I answered their questions correctly (and not just to tell them what they wanted to hear, but because those were my actual answers) and I got them to laugh a few times. :aok: I have the experience and qualifications they are looking for, so I guess we'll see. She said they are doing interviews all week, and I should know something for sure one way or the other by early next week.

Hmm.. It was in Feb of 2005 (I think). It wasn't so much an interview though.. it was more showing me around and just giving me the job. I worked there for just over a year.

Good luck Karly!
My last interview was May 2007. I was a job move within the company, but I had to interview nonetheless. I did get the job, and moved to Atlanta for the position.

My last one was November '06 - I interiewed for a job at Lucky Brand Jeans and got it. I ended up not taking it though.Damn, go back so we can all get discounts! :heee:
I sort of interviewed very loosely last summer to take my current job - I moved to our parent company, but I went to work for my old boss so it was more like a casual sit-down to share my interest in the new position...even though I really did completely change jobs as a result, I didn't interview. (And I didn't change desks, email, phones...but have a whole new job in a different company. Weird.)
Before that, I think it was in 2002 or 2003 - I was in my job for a few years (started Feb 01) and wanted to look for some options closer to home. I didn't get as far as a real offer b/c it was clear the money wouldn't be there from our few rounds of negotiating.
I've given interviews too many times to count since then.
And good luck, Karly - what's the job?

I interviewed for the job I have in October 2000. I also had to interview for the highest promotional level about 2 years ago and got the promotion.

I already worked for the company but interviewed for a different position in 2001. I think that the interview was in July but my initial supervisor really stretched out my transition time since he was having a hard time finding a replacement & I didn't end up starting my new position until 9/10/01. My original series of interviews at that company were in 1999.

:congrats: Karly!
Hmm, I've had so many. Mostly for internal competitions and such. For my current job, I wrote the exam and then met with the Director who told me he wasn't going to interview me because he had called my former boss and he gave me a glowing report. :aok:
That was in the spring of 2005 but I didn't actually start the job until spring 2007 because of my maternity leave and then the course to do the job.
Good luck to you Melissa on your interview. Or did you have it already?

Thanks, everybody! congrats, Karly!! what will you be doing?
Well, I'm going to be working part-time as a float teller at a local credit union. I'll be working full days MWF and then not at all on Tue or Thurs. I'll work some Sat mornings, too.
I'm excited because I think it will be a perfect fit for my family in that I won't be gone every single day, all day - but yet I'll still get to bring home some money. My friend is going to watch my kids for me (God bless her) so that is a real burden lifted as well.
I'm also nervous because I haven't worked since before Carsten was born and it will be a lot of changes to my family. But, over all I think it's a positive thing and we'll see how it goes!

Karly, I have the perfect blend too, working 2 days a week and home the other days, with family (free) childcare... let me tell ya, it rocks. You're gonna love it. It's the best of both worlds (and sometimes the worst of both worlds, too... it's being a woth AND a sahm!), I'm so glad everything has worked out so well!)
