I've got a ton of Brookelyn's old clothes (lots listed on here) and can't get rid of them! With all of the whacky changes to ebay, I really don't want to go that route. We have one consignment store here and it's a joke, crap, disgusting.. so that's out! Craigslist just doesn't work well for clothing (around me anyway)..

Any suggestions of where to post or try to sell her clothes. I usually donate most of the lower brand items, but have so much Gymbo, some Baby Lulu (ON, Gap, etc) that I'd like to get a few $$ for...
TIA!

I have been in the same boot. I tried a swap meet last month and even though i know some women who did very well there I didn't. I think I will be taking the rest of my things to a consignment store and see how that goes. That sucks that you only have a crappy one there. We have quite a few to choose from here.

Oh, what about some of the clothing specific boards. www.gymbofriends.com seems pretty good. Not so much drama and they have a feedback system. I have never sold there but i have bought. You do have to have a Flower Power membership to sell. It is $25 a year and I believe $11 something for 6 months. I probably sell there if I didn't have to worry about people not wanting to pay shipping from Canada.

There are also some yahoo loops.

Have you thought about a yard sale?

I was going to suggest Craigslist but sounds like that won't work for you! I was surprised at how much Gymboree etc I found posted on the Craigslist for Seattle. You could post it as "All Areas" and just say + shipping if they aren't local. ??

Thanks everyone. I've thought about other boards, but it's just such a pain.

Ok.. I got desperate an hour or two ago and posted on craigslist! lol... from what I'd seen, there were NEVER clothes on there for around here (except junky ones).
Well.. boy was I wrong! I've already had one phone call and 2 emails and heard back from 2 of those 4!! haha. One of them even said she might want to buy EVERYTHING!! lol

Have you tried Kijiji ? I've listed & sold TONS of stuff on the Ottawa one...I'm SURE there's one for your area. I've also listed on local websites (like one for the base, the town, etc.) Good luck!!

Alyson, do y'all have one of those big consigment sales? I was thinking something like Just Between Friends (http://www.jbfsale.com/) or maybe at a high school or church near you.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

Mary, no we don't. Only like 'yard sale' type things. And, honestly (not to sound snooty) but most of the stuff that goes on around here doesn't work for me. there isn't a gymbo (45 min away is the closest), so most everything from people is from Target, Penney's ..stuff that I don't have. If I tried to sell gymbo.. like say a like new dress for $8 people would laugh at me! lol... They'll go for the .25 stuff!..and even then try to bargain!

Just had to update..

I've gotten TONS of emails. People are so wishy washy though!! haha. I have one lady who'll be buying a few things this Friday. And one lady.. from FL!!.. yeah all the way across the country, who just paid me $160!! She bought a few things (mostly baby lulu) that I had higher prices on (it's a higher end brand) and kept asking for more! I'm thrilled!! haha

I've run across a bunch of wishy washy people lately, too. Many I have atleast 5 email conversations back and forth to have them just lose interest.

I wish people would just say "I'm no longer interested" rather than not reply to an email sent.
