We are possibly going to be building a house sometime within the year. My husband wants all stainless steel appliances. Can you show me what you have and why you like it? We will need a stove, fridge and dishwasher. I think that is all. And if you have the fridge with the filtered water and ice how does it taste. Everytime I have water from a fridge it just doesn't taste right. I noticed that they have filtered ones now and was wondering if it tastes better.
If you have pictures of them in your kitchen can you show me them!!! Thanks!!

We are building right now and we had the option to get stainless steel but we passed. I LOVE the look of them, but they fingerprint so easily and look dirty unless you wipe them down constantly. We have friends that have stainless, and other than the fingerprint issues they love them. They have filtered water from their fridge and I think it tastes fine.

I really like stainless--I think if they didn't constantly look dirty I'd get them in a second! :)

Stainless is notorious for fingerprints  They have some stainless steel cleaners and protectants you can put on them, but you also have to be very careful b/c you can't clean them with everyday cleaners without ruining the finish. Most of 'em, at least. They are pretty, though :)

I have stainless appliances and you can put Olive Oil on them to keep the fingerprints from showing (for awhile). We have the ice/water dispenser with the filter and I know what you mean about the taste... but ours doesn't taste like that. My Grandparents older fridge has that weird taste though. I always thought it was because they used the heating option on their dishwasher.

I don't have any pics of the kitchen I could show you (yet)... and I tried to see if I could upload the appliances we have (we needed the same three you did and all ours are stainless), but the GE website won't let me.

I really like them. Heck, I LOVE my fridge. I think I spend half my day just standing at the fridge getting water.

I have stainless steel appliances and love them, they are hard to keep clean but I discovered once a week cleaning them with my normal kitchen cleaner and wiping over with baby oil then a dry cloth brings them up like new :)

We have the Maytag Gemini stove - it has two stoves and I love it.
I found a stainless cleaner at WalMart - it's a spray, sort of like furniture polish and it's quick and easy.
We also have a filtered water/ice maker with the fridge - no funny taste.

Our stove and fridge are stainless steel, and we love them.

We found a spray-on stainless steel cleaner at Lowes, and it's easy. Spray it on, wipe, let it set, then wipe again for a shine.

Our fridge is a Whirpool with the filters, and the water and ice taste great!

Our fridge, stove, and microwave/hood are all stainless and I also love them! :)

The fridge is a Kenmore side-by-side and it has a coating on it that makes it fingerprint resistant and it works great so far! I've used anything I want to clean it and it's fine.

The stove is a GE Profile smoothtop and has coated racks so you can leave them in when you clean the oven. :) The oven is also convection, which is nice.

The microwave/hood is a Kenmore and the oven doubles as a small convection oven. You can use it as a regular (convection) oven, a microwave, or a combo. We REALLY like this one.

When we did our kitchen remodel my DH wanted all stainless steel appliances. Our cooktop/oven is a jenn-air and I love it, we had to go with downdraft because of the location so it's not as large as we'd like (I wanted a 36in) but the look is really nice, no great pics of the stove. The fridge is Kenmore I think, and it doesn't show fingerprints at all. So then we also got a stainless microwave and wine fridge. And there is a company that makes covers for appliances so we're going to get the stainless cover for our dishwasher so that everything matches. I really prefer the look of stainless now myself, it's crisp.

Our water from our fridge has no funny taste either. If it did it would be because the filter is bad, not because of the stainless on the outside.

my DH's favorite part of the kitchen - the wine fridge (next to the regular fridge)http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4dc09b3127cceb9381189a8e70000001610

LOVE your kitchen Val. Thanks for posting pictures. We just sold our house and will be moving into another house while the new house is being built. I'm sure we won't be purchasing the appliances until right before we move in. Thanks for all the ideas!!
