My water broke at 10am with Tylor and I had him at 8:52 so 10 hrs 52 minutes.

With Alyssa I was induced. They started me at 4:30pm on Monday and I had her at 2:07pm on Tuesday. It is kinda hard to say when Labor actually started. But it wasn't really a long labor at all.

Alyson
November 28th, 2007, 05:19 PM
They induced me at 6:30 am and Brookelyn was born at 2:17 pm so roughly 7.5 hrs.

Alysia
November 28th, 2007, 05:41 PM
First contraction to baby's arrival was 14 hours. It wasn't bad until my water broke though. From the time my water broke to baby's arrival was about an hour!

Depends I guess, from water breaking or from first contraction?

Janelle- about 65 hours from water breaking to her being here, 56 hours from pitocin starting to her being here, 52 hours from first real contractions to her being here.

Kincaid-35 minutes from water breaking to him being here, 10 minutes from first contraction to him being here.

Travis- umm about 2 hours from water breaking to him being here, 40 minutes from first contraction to him being here.

I prefer the 2 hour/40 minute labor to the others, 2 days was pure hell, and 10 minutes was way to fast, it hurt a whole lot more than 40 minutes did.

With Janelle I pushed for 6 hours, with both boys I pushed just once...it was for less than 10 seconds with Caid and supposedly around 3 seconds with Travis, but I don't know how the nurse knew that, no one was counting as far as I know. All 3 were inductions of some sort, I only needed pitocin with Janelle though.

I was induced for all three with pitocin and the OB breaking my water at the same time:

Victoria - 5 hours 15 minutes
Alex - 2 hours 40 minutes
Lauren - about 5 1/2 hours

Caleb - 18 hrs. labor, 2.5 pushing, then c-section. :(
Ahna - 0 hours :) - c-section

I can't top FIVE(oops SIX!!!) hours of pushing though. :faint: I don't know how you lasted that long.

I was literally passing out between contractions. DH says they couldn't wake me up at all no matter what, then a contraction would come, I'd push, then pass out again.

Jillian, I thought I was going to hit the record with the longest labor before I read your post! :faint: Holy cow.....

Mine was about 34 hours from my first "cramps" :giggle: at work until Alex being born. I started noticing that my back hurt really bad and I had menstrual cramps around 10am on Wednesday and Alex was born at 8:24pm on Thursday. Yes.....34 hours of back labor. :dead:
Of course, like Alysia, once they broke my water (my only intervention), it was about 1.5 hours from 5cm to baby out! OUCH!! I only pushed for about 20 minutes.

I don't think I ever was in labor. My water broke in the middle of the night and I had a c-section at 8:00am due to complications with my pregnancy. I never felt a single contration.

The next one with also be a c-section. I'm a "Once a c-section always a c-section" type of gal. :)

Ashley ~ 1 hour 23 minutes (1 push)
Madison ~ 1 hour 3 minutes (4-5 pushes)
Savannah ~ 2 hours 45 minutes (3 pushes)

With all three it was from water breaking to baby born and I was 4cm and 50%-75% effaced with each. Savannah was the only one I felt contractions with before labor. I was set to be induced with each of them but only a few drips of Pitocin and the dr breaking my water and BAM they were here!!!

18 hours of labor including 9 on pitocin. That was followed by a c section.
Thankfully with Jessica I had 0 hours of labor. Thank God for scheduled c sections!

Anna - first contraction to delivery was 11 hours, 19 minutes... but only about 6.5 hours of that was active labour.

Jacob - from the first contraction, well, I was in prodromal labour all day. It was only 2 hrs. 41 minutes of active labour, though.

Bonnie
November 29th, 2007, 12:15 PM
Caroline: probably 12 to 14 hours, 2 pushing, then C-section
Courtney and Tatum: N/A both were scheduled C-sections

With Jackson, my water broke at 6am but I wasn't having any contractions, when we got to the hospital they decided to induce me and he was born at 1:58pm. So I guess, almost 8 hours.

With Anna it was fast - I felt off all day (July 5th) but didn't start feeling contractions until that evening. I wasn't convinced I was in labor until maybe 11:30pm or so - she was born at 12:56am. So I guess with her it was an hour and a half.
