How old were you when you got your driver's license?

I was 20 and had to redue the driving part one. :blush: I didn't feel to bad about it since everyone I know at the time had to re take theirs at least once. The big joke was that they always failed people to get more money out of them.

I was 16. I took driver's ed at school in the spring, turned 16 in April, and got my license that summer. I passed the test through the school so I didn't have to actually take it at the state-run facility.

I was 14! Gotta love growing up in a sparsely populated farm state. :lol: It was restricted, so we weren't supposed to drive after 8pm (or something). I passed on the first try, but it wasn't a very hard test. :lol:

I was 16 years 7 months...In MA you have to be 16.5 to get your license, but due to scheduling issues I had to wait an extra month to take the test. At the time I was devastated! :lol:

18. My parents wouldn't let me drive until then, which sucked because my older brother got his license the day he turned 16!

And I failed the parallel parking the first time, but passed it the second time.

16 and a 1/2...and a few weeks. We could get our permit at 16, license at 16 1/2. I did pass on the first try. It wasn't very challenging. :awink: I think my mom in the back seat assumed I was going to fail, however, when the tester asked me to take a left turn and I had to do the thumb "L' and 'backwards L" test to make sure I turned the right way. :blush:

I got my permit when I turned 16 and I think we had to wait a month before we could take the driving test. I passed on the first try, although I forgot to buckle my seat belt!! The instructor didn't notice, but my mom did. She was outside the car, waving and gesturing at me but I didn't know what she was trying to tell me. :lol:

In SA you can only apply for your learner's license from age 17. The earliest you can get your drivers is 18. I got mine at 18. Passed first time, but did not pass parrallel parking first time! Luckily you get two shots before they fail you!

I got my permit when I was 15 and didn't get my license until I was 17 and a few months. I had a D in some subject and they didn't let me get my license until I brought it up to a B at least. My brand new car literally sat in the garage for like 8 months!! (my mom did drive it some)

16 years and 2 weeks. We bribed the DMV to let me take it earlier than you are supposed to be allowed to take it. :heee: I forget how long after your 16th bday they make you wait, but it was several months IIRC. I passed on my first try.

I started driving at 15 (learner's permit). I drove my family most of the way from Chicago to NYC for Christmas/New Years.

I loved to drive, and I still do.

I got my license at 16. I went on my birthday. I had already passed the written exam and road test in Driver's Ed, so I just turned in my permit on my 16th birthday and got my DL.
