Thanks Marcy!!!!
Melissa, I'm here now! You're so funny! :silly: Eating worms!!!!!! Your chart looks good. How long is your LP usually?
My temps are still high....:bitenails Remember, I took an early HPT on Saturday and it was BFN. So, if I don't start today, I'll POAS in the morning!!!! Or maybe tonight...I don't know!!!
 Ladies, look at my chart. If I go by the drop in temp, I O'd on CD14, right? According to my RE, "I O'd on either CD14 or CD15". What day do you think I O'd on? Last month I O'd on CD14. Isn't it usually the same each month? If that's the case, should we change my line to say 13DPO? OMG...last month my LP was only 10 days!!!! :bitenails
Okay...I did really good this weekend and I didn't stress AT ALL...Now, I'm beginning to stress........could this be IT? OH, I HOPE SO! :crossfing

October 29th, 2007, 12:08 PM
V: Going by your temps and CM it looks as though you may have O'd later than cd14....like maybe CD 17 or 18. That is when you had ECWM and a temp rise...:dunno: Where is our resident chart interpreter?? :bullhorn: Haydee!!!! We need you girl!!
MamaGoofy
October 29th, 2007, 12:10 PM
My LP is usually 14-16 days. The longest cycle I have ever had is 35 days. So if AF hasn't shown by CD36 I will POAS. I kinda feel like af is going to arrive though. I have been really moody and a little crampy yesterday. Could be cause dh and "hit it" yesterday but I am not sure. :giggle:

Yeah, Haydee, where are you!!!??? HELP!!!! :panic:
Well, according to my u/s and blood work on CD17, I had already O'd. Although, there is a chance that I O'd on CD 16. Which would put me at 11DPO....

I am here although not officially. I am back on the fence right now about wanting another baby. DH isn't with me at the moment but who knows what the future holds. Now that i explained to him what a chemical pregnancy is he realizes that I was actually pregnant in June. Who knows we shall see. I am currently on the pill and will let you know if I get off.

Veronica: O doesn't always happen the same day every month, mine was always all over the place, anywhere from CD14-21, you can get a good feel of it though over time, but still, it's not a predictable science. My fingers are crossed that those AF feelings are actually PG feelings.

HI all! I'm back  :coffee: ! Melissa, thanks a ton for doing the list while I was gone! I appreciate it! I can't believe we are onto another thread! We are some chatty vagina buddies, eh?
I used OPKs on the trip and they were all neg... so at least i know we haven't missed O. We got in a BD this morning... not for my trying, though... i went on 4 hours of sleep a night last three days and got in at 3:30 after driving from Canada for 9+ hours, so I was so tired this morning, but DH missed me and well... i needed a deposit :giggle:
I just took another OPK stick and it's coming up nearly as dark as the test line, so either that is positive or it will be later today... so BD again tonight we will...
Melissa, I hope AF stays away!!!
Silke, egg whites.......
Alyson, i can't wait to hear about your u/s !! (we so need a pacing smilie...or ten)

Melissa, yes, I'm taking the list over as of tomorrow :aok: :) thans again for your help!

Lena, it sounds like you're right on track and getting plenty of deposits!!!!
Melissa, I'm praying that AF will stay away... :noaf:
As for me-the cramps eased up last night and still no AF. All evening I was accepting the fact that this cycle wasn't it and DH and I were already talking about what we'd do next cycle. Then I waited for AF....and she never came. Got up this morning, no AF. POAS and got a BFN. Cramps are still here, but they are so mild they're barely noticable. If these cramps aren't AF, then what could they be? I'm starting to get really anxious!

V :hug99: hang in there.. are your cycles usually over by now? I know it's easier said than done, but you just have to give it a couple more days and see what turns up. I was convinced I was pg last month because I NEVER spot for a whole 24 hours...i usually spot, 2 hours later BOOM! AF in full swing, 3 days later BOOM! done... this was way different and had me convinced i was pg..... so i don't put much faith into symptoms this early on, personally.
you are far enough along in the cycle that I'd test every day now, if I were you.... FMU is best, obviously, but heck, do whatever you have to. I just wouldn't think too much into things as of yet, you know?

Just a quick post...I haven't caught up on all the posts yet. We were in the hospital last week w/ Kareem's 3rd round of chemo. It was pretty uneventful....Just a few snags...Thank goodness. My little man is such a trooper. I will post more about it in my journal at some point.

Veronica.. it's going ok. We did it yest and the day before, so who knows... I'm a bit confused with the OPK. The test line was almost as dark as the test line, so i just went ahead and put it as a +, not sure if I should or should not have. I was going to keep testing with OPKs, but ran out of tests and didn't seem to have time to make it to the store, it's probably too late now.
Yesterday, I had some shooting-type pains and my left side hurt... not sure if it's O pain? I don't think I ever had O pain, so I don't know? My temp dipped a bit today.

Lena I got some from Brooke and some are ones I'd bought a while back. They're from savontests.com so they're just the little strip. You don't need to pay me anything! lol They were cheap, on that website you can get a pack of like 50 OPK's and 2 HPT for $10 or something like that!

Sorry about AF Melissa. She is a witch.
V, it's not over till she shows.
Lena, I hope you caught the egg. And if you get pg, you can send the opk to me.
I set up a health care spending account. It's primarily for Kareem...my insurance is changing slightly. Now I will have $200 per admission co-pay. Right now it is zero. I have been blessed and only paid about $40 towards his treatment. I applied for Medicaid (for children with catastrophic illnesses) to offset the changes. If it is not approved, then I will use the $3k to cover it. If he is approved, then it may be potential IF treatment money. $3k will only be good for a few rounds of IUI. Maybe it won't be an issue, and I can use it for Lasik eye surgery instead.
I have no idea what my body is doing. My temp was high with AF and right after, and now I haven't O'd. I usually O between cd 10 and 12. We'll see.

I'm not sure what's going on with my chart, either  My temps are staying low and they should have shot up by now.. i have no idea.
It's probably CD21 for you girl! I used to get positive OPK's 2 days in a row and ovulate, three days after the first positive one.
Or maybe the universe is just telling you that you need to do "it" more often kwim?
Lyoshka
November 2nd, 2007, 08:39 AM
Haydee.... i hope that's what it is. We BDd on CD19 and 20, so we would be in good shape then. I just hope that me putting OPK as positive when it was almost as dark as the test line (but not quite 100%) wasn't a mistake. I tried to put higher temps into the chart for the next few days, and i used to do it before and it would give me a O date, but now it's not... maybe they changed smth and you can't go forward of the actual date?

I'll probably wait another day or two and if FF is still not showing anything, I may override and put O as CD 20 or 21. I'll probably be asking what you guys think about my chart in a couple of days....

Thanks guys...Sorry I have been MIA. My internet was not working for a few days.
I'm not too stressed about O since we're not actively "trying"...But I would like to know what my body is up to...And that I am still Oing. My temp went up a little, but not as high as it usually does with O. Who knows. We'll see.
V, I am sorry about AF.
Melissa, I am sorry you are feeling blue. I know those feelings all too well, and so does DF. He swears he is going to start charting my cycles on his own calendar so that he can predict my sad/angry period. I guess I blindside him sometimes. Once he realizes what's going on (PMS, crazy hormones, sadness over not being pg), he is very compassionate. I wish he would chart it. God knows I need someone to watch over me when during that the time of the month. I usually feel so angry/fragile/sad.
Lena, it looks like your temp went up! Yay!
Rachel, I am hoping this is it for you. I am sorry that it is not easier.
Becca, I understand. And you have certainly have plenty of time to decide if having another is what you want.
Kim, I spotted for three or four months after going off the pill this last time. I went to the doctor, and she said it can take six months or more for your body/cycles to return to normal after BCP. I was surprised; in the past I went on and off w/o any issues...I would not worry about a little breakthrough bleeding after skipping a month.

You people SUCK!
I do have to say, though, that while I would love for it to be in the 70s here now, I LOVE my seasons and would absolutely be bored out of my mind if I didn't have snow and changing leaves and first grass and flowers.
There is something absolutely beautiful and indescribable in running on a path with bright oranges, yellows and reds on the trees all around you in the fall, snuggling up by the hot burning fireplace when it's a snowstorm outside in the winter and watching things come back to life and have the air smell so fresh in the spring.
Then, of course, there is insanity of winter driving, nasty slush when the snow melts, muddy fall weather when it's raining and the dog comes bounding back in the house..........
but i still love it.
I think i'd love to live in Fl or Cali for 2-3 years, but i really don't think I'd ever love the same (well, majorly the same) weather all year round..... does that make sense?
MamaGoofy
November 4th, 2007, 01:34 PM
Absolutely makes sense to me. While I would love to see the fall colors on the trees...I really enjoy the warmer weather here. Heck after 30something years..it's all good. Snow is a nice thing to visit but I wouldn't want to deal with it all the time.

I went ahead and overrode FF and put O at CD21. IF my OPK was correct, that should be in the very close ballpark. If it wasn't, who the heck knows. Today there was a little dip, but I took my temp 1.5 hours earlier than usual, so i know it would have been higher than last two temps had I taken it at the same time as before.
Does anybody know what the rule is for adjusting temps? FF doesn't list it as they don't recomment it...

Lena: Even though I live in the south, it's different than FL or CA. We actually have beautiful falls and really cold winters. In fact tomorrow's high will only be 56 (although it's due to a cold front that's coming in tonight).
Kimmy: I'm so excited for you and dh! There was a reason that you forgot to order your BCP and you didn't even know it at the time!!!! Good luck, girl!
Amanda: How are you feeling?
I'm trying to remember Jackie...it seems like I remember her from the High Tech, IVF, IUI.....thread. Was she in there? God, I feel so bad for her. An affair is the lowest of lowest of things to do to someone that you love. It just breaks my heart.
Well...appointment was totally uneventfull. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Just the usual: blood work and the u/s to make sure that there's nothing going on in there. :sigh: I was really hoping to see the dr (main reason why I scheduled the appointment later for 8:00, since he doesn't come in until then). I don't really know why I wanted to see him... Just to be sure he's still involved, I guess.
I'm kinda bummed. DH wants to hold off again on the IUI and I don't want to. We only gave it one shot in Sept. I really wanted to give it another try this cycle because I really want to be pg by Christmas and I felt that the IUI would give us the more of a chance...He doesn't see it that way. He sees my getting pregnant as a blessing from God and that we've "helped ourselves" quite a bit and now we need to be patient. He did promise that if this cycle isn't IT, then we will try the IUI next time around. I'm so frustrated. He has NO idea what we go through each cycle, he has no idea that waiting another cycle feels like eternity! Am I just being impatient? Am I putting too much emphasis on the IUI especially since it wasn't successful in Sept? :sigh:

V I don't remember how long you have been trying and what your circumstances are. However, you and your dh have to agree on when to do IUI and when to let God take control. Have you talked to him and explained why you want to do IUI this cycle? Have you explained your feelings clearly? I know my dh didn't understand why I wanted to get pg so bad and why I was "obsessing" about it so much. Then I realized that I hadn't shared my inner most thoughts with him. Once I did he agreed to do whatever we could financially afford to do. He's been 100% on board every since. No one can say if you are being impatient or not. Only you can decide that. It's a personal feeling for each of us. I think you are wanting something that is beautiful and miraculous. There is nothing wrong with wanting a child that you and your dh have created out of love. I hope you get your wish soon. You are a good soul with a sweet heart. :hug99:

I can't get the font to change to blue when adding Kim's chart, for some reason. I have the words typed in correct blue before I insert the link, but after i insert it, it shows light blue, and when i save the changes, it shows up black. Anybody know how to fix it? I am too tired to think, i'll try to figure it out tomorrow.

Thanks ladies. :wub1:
I did talk to him last night and I do feel better--but we are still going to wait. I have explained to him how I feel and that it's not just me being "impatient" and in my head, but that it's deeper than that, that it is something coming from my heart. He really tries to understand, but at the same time, he believes that a baby is a miracle from God and that no matter how much we want it and no matter what we do to "help ourselves", He will only bless us when He's ready and He thinks that we're ready. DH said that he has more patience, not because he doesn't want a child as much as I do, but because he knows that it's in God's hands. I understand what he's saying and there are the costs involved too ($325 + $90 for the Ovidrel=$415). I know that he's right, I am just torn between reason and my emotions. :sigh:
Rachel: any news, has the mean ole witch shown up yet?

V I don't remember how long you have been trying and what your circumstances are.
Melissa, we've been trying now for 2 years and 2 months. I went through 6 cycles of Clomid last year before seeing a RE. He has started me on Femera and now I'm on my 3rd cycle of it...
After the first IUI attempt failed, he said to me, "You're young and your prognosis is good". So...I take that as meaning I have what you would term, "Unexplained Infertility".
I hate that word, "Infertility".:chainsaw:

Another reason i'm not wanting to test early is this: DH is going to Cali for a week on the 11th, and I think it would be so very cool to send him some cool package to work or hotel where he'll be staying to announce the pregnancy, if indeed I am pg. I haven't come up with any specific ideas yet, but i'll think of smth. So I don't want to know myself before he leaves, because if it's a BFP, i won't be able to hide the excitement.....

Well the OPK is a -. It is lighter than the ref. line. Since this is the first time I have used these what does that mean? I am "supposed" to O tomorrow but it doesn't appear that will be the case. I have 6 more tests for I will test each day.
Lyoshka
November 6th, 2007, 02:31 PM
Kim, if the test line is lighter or is not there, the OPK is negative=no LH surge yet. Continue to test every day. Once the test line is as dark or darker than the control line, you should O in the next 24-72 hours. Melissa said something about the afternoon surge being stronger than morning surge, so you could try that... they do recommend testing at about the same time every day (i did when i could, but not always) and to not drink for 2-4 hours before testing so your urine is more concentrated.
hth....

Melissa, you have NOT offended me at all. You're right about what you said. The household is about the husband and the wife first. If we're not on the same page and/or there are issues with us, we need to work them out and do this together. And I can proudly say that we do TALK about EVERYTHING and DO EVERYTHING together. This was the first time that we've been on seperate pages and it's been a very hard adjustment for me. But deep down, I know that he's right. And you're right...I need to try to be patient and have some "fun" sex!!!! :devildanc

It really confused me, so afterward, I started reading up on the OPK tests and "according to what I read: you only have a 6 hour surging window and if you don't POAS at the exact right time, (they say around 2:00 each day) you may not get a test line that is as dark or darker than the control line." Therefore....I'd BD today, just in case. Are you temping? If so, then perhaps you can verify after you O by looking at your temps. Then you'll know better for next time, IF there is a next time! ;)

Lena, I'm good...I've just been crazy busy this week. I didn't even have a chance to get on here yesterday. I felt so out of touch! I live only about 2 1/2 hours from Atlanta...so, you guys need to come here. We have lots of Starbucks too! Mmmmmmmmm yummy. :coffee: I'm like Melissa, I could roam anywhere with coffee too!
Rachel, I'm sorry about AF... :hug99:
Amanda and Alyson, I hope your ob/gyn appointments go well today! :crossfing
Kika: I'm sorry about your migraine. You and your mom are too funny! Seriously, nosebleeds, migraines, weird dreams....can these be symptoms that we can obsess about???? Ladies, what do you think?

Okay, this may seem to be a weird question...but is it possible to O at d19-d21?? B/c according to my chart I'm d22 today & I SWEAR that I O yesterda/the previous 2 days. Yes, I have no idea what I'm talking about...I'm crazy I know. But I'm trying to figure out my body's "schedule" & it just seems to be changing alot lately.

Becca, it is very possible to O between cd19 and cd21. It all depends on how long your cycles usually are. I saw one person's post that said she O'd as late as cd38.
I'm an early O'er. LOL. My AF is hardly over and I'm O'ing the next week. Madness.
Kim: Are you taking the OPK in the morning? I think sometime between 2pm and 8pm is best. Your line seems like it's almost as dark as the control line, but it's hard to tell. You should be looking at color, not the thickness of the line...My test line always seems thinner than the control line.
I say test again around 6pm and see if it is a bit darker.
Melissa, V, and Lena: I just made coffee! :giggle:
And yeah V, my mom is a definitely a worrier. She is worse than I am!
I woke up with the migraine again. Sigh. Sometimes I wish I could surgically remove my head. I have chores to get done (my BFF is flying from Chicago on Monday to help with K's hospital admission on Tuesday...yeah it's time for yet another round of chemo...weeks are flying by! Rich is out of town for work this week and next...And K starts radiation today). Needless to say, I don't have time for a migraine!

V, you may be right, I don't know. Actually, Kim and V, mine never got darker than the control line, though it was darker than your last one, Kim, and I questioned whethere I should have put it as a + or not, and i did. It seems to agree with my O... so who the heck knows, but i do agree with the advice to continue BD....

Becca: Yes, it is highly possible that you O late. The only thing that you need to worry about is that you have a LP of at least 10 days. Any shorter than that, the corpus luteum (sp?) is shedding before implantation has had time to take place.
Kika, tell me about it. Nobody has time for a migraine! Hang in there! :hug99:

Becca, two things:
1) do you want to give me the link to your chart? Acc. to the list, you are CD26, but that's only b/c it's hard to keep track of you without a chart..... let me know, k?
2) it's VERY possible to O around CD19-21... look at my charts for the past few months and you'll see that i've been Oing around those days. I've questioned it, but it seems like that's what's going on. Of course, it's easier to pinpoint it after the fact b/c of the thermal shift. If we have your chart here, it will be easier to comment on it.....

Lena, you can do a google search on "luteal phase". If I recall correctly if your lp is less than 10 days then you'll struggle to fall pregnant. I think they fix it with progesterone supps. It's not a serious problem to treat, but if you're not aware of it and they don't treat it, it could take forever to get pregnant.

Don't get me wrong, I love summers, but after 4-5 months of sweating and my makeup melting off of my face, I get tired of the sunshine! I love to wear warm, fuzzy sweaters and wool coats and boots and gloves....But by February or March I'm tired of the cold weather and I'm ready for summer again!

Hi.. I don't have time to catch up in here but wanted to tell you how my appt went. It was fine. My dr was irritated with the nurse from my u/s last week, because she was supposed to tell me that I didn't need to come in today! ugh. It's ok cause they got all the info they needed and gave me all of the samples and pamphlets that they give you. I was so excited cause they sent me into the u/s room and the dr met me in there. I was happy to be having another u/s, but then when she realized I didn't need to be there she didn't do it. She was very sweet and apologetic, I think amazed that I wasn't fuming and pissed off! lol Overall it was good though. I don't go back now until Dec 6th that seems so far away!!
