I do love this time of year, too! Where we live (and I'm sure where some of you all live, too) it's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. The spring and fall are perfect for outdoor activities.

PLUS, I'm excited because like you Amanda, this is the first time we're celebrating a birthday in my family in October - Carsten's! He's 1 a week from today! :disbelief

I love fall even though we may not have the pretty leaves. The weather is cooler and I can open my windows!! It's absolutely beauitful!!!

I love October as well, we have Thanksgiving this weekend here in Canada :eat: Bring on the turkey! I have my apple scented candles burning now and have stocked up with canned pumpkin for lots of pumpkin pie.

I :heart: October. It's my favorite month. I love the weather starting to cool off, the leaves changing color (we get that in my neighborhood :) ) & pumpkin flavored goodies :lick: Most importantly, family birthdays (esp. Amelia's on the 30th).

We're into our 2nd month of spring and the weather if finally starting to act spring-like :) We've pulled out the summer clothes, sunscreen and hats and the kids are getting excited to start swimming :)

I've been meaning to start a thread on fairs! We went to our state fair and it was terrific. We saw pig races! The funniest thing I've seen in a LONG time! :lol:

I really like fall...I only say LIKE b/c its hunting season & that means that from Sept-Nov I become a HUNTING WIDOW!! :( Although I can't complain too much about that b/c I LOVE moose meat:shuffle: Well...now that you all think I'm a real redneck Prairie girl I'll just be shutting up now...:D
