At what age did you kiddos switch from two naps to one? How do you know they are ready?
How did you go about it? Delay their morning nap? Skip it altogether and then put them down for their afternoon nap early?

With Jeremy, it became more a matter of convenience. He stopped taking a morning nap around 11 months old. It was hard to get errands run in the morning with him taking a cat nap (45 minutes around 9) and then getting dressed and out for the morning. Plus, I wanted him to be able to nap when Riley does so I could get some relief. It took some work, but I found that during his "tired" time in the morning, I would just get him active and not focused on sleeping. He still sometimes crashes if we're in the car, but it's not very often. I have pushed lunch up to around 11:30-11:45 because he'll take his nap around 12:30 (and sleep until after 3), and Riley will take a nap from 1:30-2:30. So it's nice to have time to myself. And it's worked out great for a routine because J will get up around 3ish, and he'll still go down a little after 7.
As for life before Jeremy when Riley was a baby, I think she transitioned around 15 months. Part of that was due to daycare--she'd take a nap after lunch around 11:45. So that meant we'd have to eat lunch on the weekends early so she'd take a nap. Bu she was never a long napper like Jeremy was--she'd only take about a 2-hour nap at the most.

I just transitioned Timmy. He turned 2 on July 11th. I started around May and just slowly kept him up longer and longer in the morning. I We now go down around 1 and he takes a good 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. Sometimes he goes down before 1 depending on his mood. But we work on getting through lunch

Anna transitioned a long time ago...I can't even remember when (I should look in my journal!) but I think it was before 8 months (Jackson transitioned around 10 or 11 months).
Both of my kids just kind of gave it up on their own. With Anna it got harder and harder to get her to go to sleep in the morning, so I just stopped trying. Now she takes one long nap, usually from about 1-4 (although we have done both earlier and later). This works out best with our schedule, so I never fought the transistion.
