I'm not really sure where to put this, so feel free to move if this isn't the right spot.

I just made the spur of the moment decision to take the kids to Picture People tomorrow - the pictures will be Mother's Day and Father's Day presents for the grandparents.

Anna is going to wear this:

What should Jackson wear? I'm not good at this matching 2 kids thing yet. I was thinking he could wear these shorts with a white oxford shirt...but I'm not really sure if the 2 patterns would look weird together.

My other ideas were:

1. The oxford shirt with either navy or khaki shorts
2. Khaki shorts or pants with a blue polo shirt (the blue polo shirt is basically same color as the lighter blue in Anna's dress).

What do you think?

The plaid shorts are a little to busy. When doing photos you want to try and stick with solid colors. I would do the oxford shirt with the navy shorts.... That would compliment the dress nicely...

Love the shorts but I think it competes too much w/ Anna's dress.

If you do the oxford shirt, I'd do navy shorts. But I think the blue polo would be fine with khakis.

Another idea. We did Aidan's 2 year pictures with a white polo and lighter-colored jeans rolled up just a bit and no shoes. It looked very cute. That could be a look with Anna's dress if you keep her shoe-less too.

Navy blue polo and khaki shorts. White isn't supposed to be a good color to wear for pictures, it can make faces look washed out.

Voice of dissent.....white shirt and khaki shorts :heee:
I have a photo of N&E at 18 months on a white background (i can post it if you want). She's wearing a white dress w/ blue flowers and he's got on khaki shorts w/ a white short sleeve oxford. It's one of my fave pics of them :)

Thanks guys...

I ended up going with the white oxford and khaki shorts....the polo shirt wasn't the right blue (I didn't have a navy one, it is more of a sky blue, but didn't match the blue in Anna's dress), and the Navy shorts were dirty...

I think they came out ok...the sucky thing was we were there at 12:50 for our 1:00 appointment, and they didn't take us until 1:40. My kids, who were happy and ready to go at 1:00, were crabby and uncooperative by 1:40...Jackson also adopted this weird grimacing smile for the photo session. :dunno:

Here is what we got:

Most of the pictures looked like this:

This is the face that Jackson insisted on making in about 90% of the pictures. No idea where that came from!

So, I'm not 100% pleased, but I needed them for Mother's Day, so what can you do?

Oh and I just realized that Anna's dress is different then the picture I posted....whoops!

Pictures w/kids are so stressful for the parents, so don't beat yourself up about it. I always stress over them, too and then they end of looking great and no one knows (but me  ) how much hell that day was
