What has survived the washing machine?

Well, my husband put his mobile phone through the wash over the weekend :rolleyes: Yes, his brand new one he only got 4 weeks ago, it's his 4th one in like 1 year due to being an idiot when it comes to his mobiles.

BUT ALAS! it SURVIVED!? :scratch: We couldn't believe it after a full cycle with warm water, suds, fabric softner, rinsing and spin cycle we found it, dried it out, plugged it in and it started working :lol:

So what have you washed and how did it survive??

Rick leaves his keychain drive in in pocket and it has gone through the wash several times. I guess those things are pretty tough!

Dan's thumb drive made it through a few weeks ago when he did the laundry. I check pockets diligently ever since a red crayon went through the washer and dryer with some of Alyssa's brand new infant clothes and most of them were a loss. I was so upset over that so there is no way I am taking chances now.

My husband's wallet has gone through the laundry on numerous occasions. I have had my watch go through and it was fine too.

My cell phone did too! Though at first it seemed dead but it recovered after it dried. :phew:

Weird. I can't believe yours survive too, Stacey. I never dreamed you could submerge phones in the water and have them come out fine. :lol:

We lost a pay as you go cell phone that way. Maybe I should pull it off the shelf and charge it and see if it works! I have put a memory card through the wash at least once and it still works.
