I was just reading in Today's Parent magazine that they are develloping immunizations that could be administered by nasal spray instead of a shot. Both Eric and I said "I'd rather have the shot!" I tried to take a nasal spray once when I had a cold, and I couldn't do it.

So, which would you choose?

I'd sooner have a shot too. Just the IDEA of the feel of nasal spray makes my eyes water!

I'd rather have the shot also. Nasal spray is so uncomfortable. :dead:

I tend to go with what I know! Shot!

I'm not sure. I don't really have problems with nasal sprays in general, but I'd worry about accidentally sneezing all of the vaccine out before it got a chance to get into my bloodstream.

I always choose the shot for the flu vaccine.

I'd choose the shot. I have no clue about future vaccines, but the flu nasal vaccine is a live virus and therefor sheds...there are warnings to not be around newborns, pregnant women, and those with compromised immune systems after receiving it...which kind of scares me...sure I could protect anyone I know has a compromised immune system...but what about joe shmoe picking up his prescription at the store or whatever? So yea...

In general though I'm fine with nasal sprays...maybe cause I've been using them since I was a really little kid, they don't bother me.
