View Full Version : What's under your bed?

So, as I was really getting into playtime w/ my two tots, I ended up laying on the floor in our bedroom, serving as a bridge. :smoke: As I was being crossed, I had a chance to look under my bed. I found the following:
2 sippies
1 snow white shoe that has been AWOL for about a month
1 yellow plastic block
1 of Rayna's green socks that we have been looking for forever.
Made me think. If I hadn't of looked, would I have been able to guess what was under there?
So - if you haven't looked under your bed in a while, what do you think you might find? Post what you THINK you would find, then go look and post what you actually did.

Nothing. We have a waterbed and the frame goes all the way to the floor
Just don't ask me what's under my kids beds!

Lots and lots of cat hair tumble weeds and usually a random sock or two as I tend to kick them off at night.

I have a bunch of odds and ends in space bags. Our down comforter is under there. There are also a few socks as well. :shuffle:

Nothing, cause we just have box springs and then a mattress on the floor...we did that when Janelle first got big enough to possibly roll out of bed, and then never put the frame back up...
But the kids have their crib mattresses under their beds, they use them as like trundle beds for sleep overs or whatever. and we always find Caid's pacifiers under the bed.

Nothing under our bed.....and nothing under Alex's bed. :)
We got a new bed frame in December and it's so low to the floor that it's nearly impossible to store anything under there. I do check now and then to see if anything has made it past the bed skirt boundary.
Alex just has a mattress on the floor (for now), so there's nothing under his bed. :heee:

I have these under all our beds with our summer clothes in them. We don't have storage in our house so this becomes storage

We have the same boxes Jayne has. I'm sure there are a few random socks and/or something one of the dogs brought up there to chew on. They hide under our bed when they're up to something fishy.

So I checked and sure enough I have Cherished Teddies boxes as well as a pair of shorts, a missing shoe, a bath towel and a storage container of clothes (that I had no idea was there let alone what's in it).

UPDATE: Yup, just carpet & dust bunnies.
Me too. Although I recently cleaned out under there and found a toddler sock and a pacifier which is fairly typical.

We have a few big soft suitcases under it and there might be some of Blair's socks... and probably some dust bunnies since I haven't moved the bed to vacumm in a couple of months  I just hate doing that

Dust bunnies, a lock box with some important papers, and a book I was reading months ago and got bored with.

We have one of those old-people adjustable beds. (one of the best purchases in my life ever!)
No storage space, just two motors under the bed.

Well I know what was under mine as I cleaned it out just a few days ago, I have an ensemble so it's only about 10cm's off the ground and amazingly I found:
1. Toys toys toys. I am serious, it was a ridiculous amount of lego, balls, matchbox cars and moulded animals.
2. about 6 of tony's socks and 2 pairs of his underwear
3. An avent baby bottle
4. A pair of Aiden's pyjama shorts and 2 of his undies
5. 1 baby sandal
6. a book I had finished reading
7. a stack of serious dust and hair (my hair)
I could not believe how much was under there, the only way I could get it all was by sticking my broom in there in a flat position and pull it outwards, it's normally covered by my valance so I didn't know it was all there.

How do all you dusty people know? We have carpet so dust would not be apparent.
I know I have an out of season comforter in a bag. A few unused diapers. Probably a random toy or two. Maybe a sippy cup of water (that's all that's allowed upstairs). And usually a 17 year old cat (one day he'll be dead under there, I just know it!)
It's a scary question!

I'm getting this visual of people reading this thread, then running upstairs to dive under their beds to explore :giggle:
