I talked to our divorce lawyer in Vegas. I need to email him some changes to the decree, and Don still needs to attend his parenting class....but once we get our tax return $$, I can send the balance to the atty that we owe. 2 weeks after that I will be a free woman! I could finally be divorced, maybe even before I get my tattoo!!! :smoke:

My appt is May 18.....the tattoo I am getting will be on my lower back, and will be very similar to this, but only 3 butterflies [for me and the girls], the tribal work and colors will probably be different.

I soooooo cannot wait for the this moment. Although I already consider myself divorced, maybe that piece of paper does mean something after all. I know my friend Jenni will be going out with me to celebrate when it happens!!!!

Congrats, Amy!!

I considered myself divorced before mine was final too...but getting that piece of paper felt sooooo good. This huge feeling of relief washed over me when I saw that in the mailbox. Have fun celebrating with your friend! When mine was final, my best friend baked me a cake with "Freedom" written on it (was in the movie Under the Tuscan Sun).

A group of friends took me to a nightclub the night mine was final, and told the DJ. He made a huge announcement that "Shel has dumped the dick" and needed free drinks :giggle:
