About how often do you do it?
Do you do it yourself?
What supplies do you use?
If you live in 2 story, how do you get to the top windows?
Do you keep screens on your windows? (In general, obviously you would have to take them off to wash)

About how often do you do it? Roughly twice a year usually spring( once the snow melts) and end of Fall
Do you do it yourself? Yep
What supplies do you use? I have a window squigy(sp?) scrub sponge on a telescopic handle..I bought it when I cleaned offices
If you live in 2 story, how do you get to the top windows? N/A- I have a bungalow..but when I lived in an apartment we used to take the whole window out to clean.
Do you keep screens on your windows? (In general, obviously you would have to take them off to wash) Yeah we use screens, we have to here in cow country where there are frigging a million flys in the summer:tearhair:incidentaly we take the screens off and wash them in the driveway..scrub with a sponge and then hose down.

We bought the stuff this year that you connect to your house and spray it. It worked okay.

We used that once Shel but our neighbour has this stupid tree(not sure what kind it is) but it bleeds some sort of sap on our windows :tearhair: it didn't work at all for these..I really have to scrub them and that sucks ..the only part of the window washing I need to get on a ladder is when I wash those windows..I wish they would cut the damn tree down!

I've lived in this house a year and have washed the outside of the windows once I think. They are the easy clean kind that will angle in to clean.

we do ours once every year or two. And because we live on 4 floors, we hire a company to do it. It only costs $100, so I don't feel to bad about paying someone else to risk their life. :heee:

I wish we had the windows that tilt inward. Especially upstairs. I might call around to see how much someone charges. $100 would be very well worth it.

About how often do you do it? In fall and spring
Do you do it yourself? Chris does it
What supplies do you use? Newspaper and Windex
If you live in 2 story, how do you get to the top windows? Ladder
Do you keep screens on your windows? (In general, obviously you would have to take them off to wash) We have olllllld windows. So the screens come off in fall and the storms get put on (and those get washed in addition to the windows) Then in spring, the storms come off, the windows washed, and the screens get scrubbed and put on. Real PITA.
