Finally, some good news...

In light of all the not so great things happening in my life, I finally have something to look forward too....

I start a basic nursing class March 31 :woo:

This may not seem like much to most people, but for me it is a HUGE start in starting MY life over again. Like many other moms, I didn't finish college, started a family and grew to a larger family. I lost myself in wanting AND caring for MY family. My ex never wanted me to go back to school and now that I am rid of him, I can :woo:

Anyway, I am so excited about this. It is a two weekend course ~ 1 day is class all day and the next 3 classes (Sat & Sun for two weekends) are clinic days with an exam the final day. A good friend is lettig me use one of his stethoscope and blood pressure cuff, I will be making my own white scrubs and the only thing I really have to buy (aside fabric) is the book and I will get that ASAP to get started looking it over. This is just the fresh start I need to starting a new life and career for myself so that I can take care of ME and the girls.

Congrats Bretta! What an awesome step for you! My sister is an RN and I know she has some scrub tops that she just 'doesn't like' so she never wears them! If you're interested I could ask her about giving or selling them to you (I'm sure she'd sell for cheap, if not just give them to you).. Let me know:)
