Where do you store your kitchen tools (ie. wooden spoon-type things, tongs, whisks, etc)? In a drawer? Or in a crock on the counter? Something else?

(I'm full of it, er, questions today. :hehe: )

Mine are in the top drawer of the island. It's a shallow drawer, but quite wide so that everything is pretty spread out and easy to find.

Mine are a drawer under the cooktop  Until we get our new microwave and the oven redone, we don't have the counter space for a crock :dunno: Maybe after :)

Forgot to answer! :duh:

Mine are in a drawer near the stove, too. But it's a small, sort of shallow drawer so it can be a PITA to find stuff. Ladles are especially annoying to put away and take out. I try to avoid keeping too much stuff on the counter though, because clutter makes me twitchy.

The ones we use most often are in a crock next to the stove. There's about 10 -15 items in there. The rest - and we have a ton - are in a wicker basket in the pantry. Our meauring cups / spoons are there, too.

Our crock is cobalt blue :)

Both.
We have some in a crock next to the stove and the rest are in a drawer not too far from the stove.

Another vote for both - the crock next to the stove is part of our knife block (knives on the front angled portion, then round part behind that with slotted spoons, spatulas, etc.) Then stuff we use less often or stuff small enough to get lost in the crock goes in the wide drawer next to the stove.

Ours too. I also have a drawer for smaller items like the pizza wheel, pie server, vegetable peeler, etc.
Our crock looks like this (minus the top):

I have both too. I have 2 crocks - one on each side of the stove with the bigger stuff in it, then a drawer next to the stove.

I have both, but I'm doing some kitchen remodeling and I'm hoping to get rid of the crock.

We have a large canister for spoons, wooden utensils, whisks and other stuff like that that's right next to the stove. The more gadgety-type stuff goes in the drawer.

I have something like this right next to the stove

Its got all my matching stainless and black stuff in it (whisks, spatulas, ladle, cooking spoons, etc). The rest of the crap goes in a drawer that's nearby that has dividers in it.

Both. I have the Pampered Chef thingy that spins near the stove, and the rest are in a drawer right underneath it.

I also have both. :) My wooden spoons, rubber/silicone spatulas, and whisks are in the crock next to the stove top. Everything else is in a nice, big drawer in the island....which is just a pivot turn from the stove.

I'd love to get rid of the crock....but I don't want everything in the drawer. The drawer would be too full and I like being able to just grab a spoon or spatula right away when I need one. So....the crock stays!

Another both. I have a wooden spinner spice rack/measuring cup holder/utensil holder next to the stove. Then some utensils have their own small drawer and the ones we use more are in the silverware drawer.

When we move (knock on wood) I plan to pare down what we've got and hopefully organize drawers better.

Mine are all in a drawer...actually 2 drawers. I don't have counterspace for a crock.

Ditto. Everything's in a drawer. I hate counter clutter.

We have 2 crocks on the counter and still have to store some things in the silverware drawer.

No crock on the counter, my stuff isn't nice enough to be put on display so it's all in the drawer :)

Both, and I hate it! We have 3, yes, 3 containers of crap on our counter b/c we have a pitiful amount of drawer space. That, and b/c the kids keep taking the stuff out of the drawers and playing with them, which gets them coated with dog hair and lint. Blech! So a lot of it is on the counter, and it drives me nuts to look at it. We've just starting hanging some larger ladles and such off our pot rack, and I ordered a butcher block roll cart that has a wide drawer in it, which will house our silverware and then I'll have an extra drawer for kitchen tools.

in a drawer in our island. We don't really have nice enough stuff to leave on the counter and we have enough crap on the countertops as it is.

Both. Some in a stainless steel container on the counter and others that we don't use as often in a drawer.

Don wanted stuff in a drawer so that is where they were. But since he don't get a say anymore they are going in a crock when I get my own place.

All of mine are in a drawer.

I have both. Next to the stove are the ones that I use the most and than in a drawer are the ones that aren't used as much.
