Sleeping & growth spurts?

I was wondering if growth spurts caused an increase in sleeping. My little guy has been a champ sleeper the past few days and I'm wondering if it's because of a growth spurt.

He's been sleeping great through the night, from 7pm-4am(ish), then back down until 6:30am(ish). Taking a 2 hour nap in the morning and then another hour or so in the afternoon. I'm not complaining but just wondering what's caused the better sleep lately. :dunno:

If it's not a growth spurt what else could it be? I want to keep doing it. :giggle:

Janelle would always go through about 3 days where she did nothing but eat constantly then about a week where she slept a ton during growth spurts.

He's almost 6 months, so he's about the age when they start to :airquote: get :airquote: the whole schedule/routine thing.

6 months is also a time for a growth spurt...so it could be both, or either... :) Hope it continues!

I agree that more sleep comes with growth spurts... but glad that he's sleeping better!

Whatever it is I'll take it! :giggle: He slept from 7pm-5:45am last night! I put him back in his crib so I could have breakfast and coffee when I was done feeding him and he's fallen back asleep. Or he's just lying there making no noise. :lol:
