Has anyone ordered from Zappos.com?

My brother and I went to Las Vegas last weekend and on the plane my brother read an article about Zappos.com which is the number one online seller of shoes. My family owns a company and we sell costumes online and my brother was intrigued by the growth of Zappos. We also found out they are located in Vegas. So, we called and actually went to their facility and got a tour. They made 600 million last year in shoe sales. They specialize in customer service and I was wondering if anyone has ordered from them and could tell me about their experience. It was a very interesting company.

Oh, and we also got to meet and talk to the CEO. The employee moral is amazing. Everyone waved and said hi as we walked by. The company also provides free lunches, snacks and beverages to all their employees everyday. It looked like a fun place to work.

Yes, lots of times. Quick shipping and free including return if it doesn't fit. Plus they have all those European brands I prefer.

Paul ordered my Keen sandals for Christmas last year from them. :) He's pretty picky and he didn't have anything negative to say. The only bad thing is that I received the package from UPS....and had a bit of a clue as to what I was getting because it was from Zappos. :giggle: Oh well....just bad timing. :giggle:

Love them, as well. Love the free, quick shipping, and free shipping on returns. And I love that they want your feedback, as well. I like that they had reviews for the shoes on how they fit, since you can't actually try them on.

I have thought about it many times but I am little leery buying shoes online just because my feet are so darn wide!

I ordered my Columbia sandals and lime green Crocs from them. The sandals fit perfectly but the Crocs were a tad small. I had to return the Crocs (free return shipping) instead of asking for an exchange because they didn't have the lime green one in a bigger size. Great online store to buy from!

not sure whether to "thank" this thread or "curse" it :lol: ...

i had always orders from www.shoes.com (http://www.shoes.com) or www.whatapair.com (http://www.whatapair.com) ... pretty sure all shipping was free ... and never had a return ...

after i saw this thread ... i was further hooked on 'shoe shopping online' ...

the price on Zappos seems to be higher than i am used to seeing on the other sites ... and admittedly ... a pair that i bought of the site is the most expensive pair that i own ...

but i will say that the quality is awesome ... the free shipping [to and from] is a PLUS ... this was the first time that i had a return ... and it was very easy ...

i am posting this now ... after i ordered :shhh: five more pairs ... i KNOW i will return some of them ... but i leave for Vegas on Monday ... and i have no time to shop ... that's reason enough ... no? :blush:

I've had the opposite, I've found that zappos has cheaper prices.

I also love free shipping and free returns - plus they want your feedback. You also can't beat the selection!

i have to agree with that ... when comparing the same shoes that i would get on other sites [or locally in stores] ... zappos prices were less ... what i meant [and prob didn't come out right] was that they had more higher priced shoes on their site ...

my shoes will be here tomorrow ... i can pick and choose what i want to keep ... return the rest on Friday ...

Zappos = crack ... you will be addicted ... i love how i can browse them for days/weeks ... putting stuff in my cart ... taking it out ... they keep track of what you have in there that they run out of inventory ... and when the mood hits ... click on "submit" ... you have shoes within 48 hours ...

now if i could just do the same with the sunglasses that i want . . .

gotta add another :tup: for Zappos ... last Thursday ... my shoes arrived ... the ones that i really, really, really hoped would be perfect for my Vegas trip tomorrow ... were 1/2 size too big [my fault] ... at 8PM on Thursday ... i ordered a new pair online ... to be shipped to my office to arrive Monday before i left ...

:faint: they arrived at my office at 11:00AM on Friday ... just 15 HOURS after i ordered them ...
