Jacob has been signing for a while now. I taught him the milk sign to let me know when he wanted a BF. But I have successfully weaned him over the weekend. And I have noticed he has been signing for a BF when I am offering the bottle. He is taking the bottle but sometimes pushes it away and goes for my breast.
Should I make up a new sign for the bottle, or should I just offer the bottle everytime he signs for a BF so he starts associating it with that?

:woo: for a successful weaning.
The sign is for milk, so keep offering him the cup/bottle of milk. Yes, Jacob, here's your milk here in the bottle/cup. He'll figure it out. :)

We started the sign for "drink" when giving a sippy. (Owen weaned to a cup so we didn't use a bottle). After a few months, we reintroduced milk for milk and not for breastfeeding.

Thanks Bev & Shel
 I should have mentioned that we already use the sign for drink for when he has water or juice in his sippy/straw cup. I have gone to the bottle for milk as I thought it would be an easier transition for the milk part of drinking. He is a boobie man my boy :giggle:
