I shop at Home Depot the most. I have only been to Lowes once, but that is because I don't have one close to me.

We used to be Home Depot shoppers till Lowe's moved in. I was just at both stores yesterday pricing out all the items we need to buy for our new home. Lowes beat Home Depot on almost every item. Plus, at least with our 2 stores, Lowes is just cleaner, brighter & the staff is more knowledgable & curtious.

Home Depot and Lowes are just around the corner from us. I'd say we do just a bit more shopping at HD.

Home Depot and Menards (I think they are only in the Midwest). Same idea as the others. We are suppose to be getting a Lowes soon.

We mostly shop at Home Depot because it's location is more convenient. We do like to go to Lowe's once in awhile though.

Home Depot because it is closer.

Lowe's because our neighbor works there so we get employee discounts! :aok:(also because Home Depot closed all the stores in Carroll County, so the closest one is about 35 miles away)

Ace is our first choice because it's right across the street and it's much easier to get in and out of since it's so small. If we can't find what we need there we go to Home Depot. Lowe's is a last resort. I'm still boycotting them as much as possible since they refused to sell us a hot water heater a few years ago. They said they were too busy to do the paperwork. They were too busy to do the work for a $600 sale. HD was more than happy to sell us one.

We shop at both Lowes and Home Depot depending on who has the better price. I actually prefer the service at Lowe's here in Charleston. Back in Jax, FL we preferred Home Depot.

I prefer Lowes but we have a HD closer. Lowes is putting in a new store close to us so as soon as it's opened I'll only go there. We don't have any Ace's nearby.

We mainly shop at Home Depot because we had a bad experience at the Lowe's that's closest to us, however, they are building a new Lowe's about a mile from our house so I'm sure that's where we'll be doing our shopping when it opens.

Both about equal. Lowe's is a little closer, though. They are building a new Home Depot right across the street from that Lowe's, though, so it will definitely be a toss up.

Its a tie between Home Depot and Menards. HD is closer, so usually there for this & that, but Menards for big ticket stuff b/c they are cheaper. We dont have a Lowes and all our Ace are small mom & pop shops.

I like HD, John likes Lowes...

We usually shop at Lowes because their customer service is much better than the HD near us. Also the Lowes is bigger and carries more items.

Lowe's simply b/c when I went to HD to purchase a door they did not price match it to Lowe's; plus Lowe's just opened a new store here.

definitely Lowe's. It's home office is based in our state and I don't like Home Depot much.

We shop at Lowes...the prices seem to be cheaper and they are a lot friendlier there. :)

I like HD... we just tried Lowes this weekend and had a terrible experience... we went there to get a stove, grill and paint... and left with the paint... The stove had to be special ordered and won;t be n for at least 3 weeks... and the grill was there but the ones they had were damaged... so we are going to have to go back there 2 more times... My biggest complaint was that we got no customer service...whereas at HD there are people everyone looking to help... at Lowes we couldn't pay some one to answer a question for us.... :)

Home of de Pot (or Home Despair) is closest to our house, but I prefer Lowe's.

We go to Lowe's because my Dad always gives us gift cards there. ;)

Usually Home Depot because it's close, but we also like Rona because it's Canadian. :)

We don't have a Lowes or Ace in Canada ( atleast not in Ontario that I know of)

we do most of our shopping at Home Depot though, we have a Home Hardware and Rona but they rarely have what we are looking for so we always end up at HD.

I work at Lowes and shop there but there is a home Depot across the street from where I work...

now Lowes is closer......(it is not even a mile down the road)

Usually we shop at Lowe's...they seem to always have better prices on things we have purchased in the past than Home Depot (especially lighting). I have also had some bad experiences at Home Depot - it always seems that the things I want are out of stock, and the salespeople are less than helpful at the one near me.

FYI if you ever find a lower price at Home Depot Lowes will beat it and take 10% off the price that they have......
