Hello everybody, Happy Holidays!
So...my daughter Emmy is 2 1/2 months old and she is sleeping GREAT (9-6!!!), but my concern is this - her bedtime routine usually includes us reading to her in the crib and then saying our good nights. But sometimes she is so sleepy that I worry I will arouse her by reading, so I skip it. Do you think I should just delete it from my schedule? I think I know the answer to this, but I just like a little reassurance I guess.
And what do you guys do for bedtime routines?
Thanks!

Oh Holy Cow, 2.5 months and sleeping that good? That is awesome!!! If she is super sleepy, yea, I would skip the night time story!!!!!

Have Emmy please talk to Harper who is over 4 months now and is still waking up three times a night!!!

Hey Melissa!!! :wavey:

Mia is 9 months and I just go by her attitude if you will...

If she is really tired and I can tell that she just wants to go to bed and be left alone, we forget about the bedtime story. If she's a little wound up and being just kind of goofy (she usually gets like this right before she crashes), I'll read a few books to her to settle her down. She likes a little cuddle time after and then its off to dream land for her!!! :) Just take Emmy's lead and you'll be fine!!!!

:woo: for her sleeping so well!!!!! Mia was the same way... about 1 month old and she started sleeping thru the night. Aren't we lucky!?!

That's so not fair. Cora still has nights where she wakes up a couple of times. This has been a good week so far. As for bedtime stories, I agree with Jo, follow her lead. If you have a scheduled bed time and she doesn't seem tired then take the time to cuddle and read. If she's tired then let her sleep.
