Darren's work has a Bobcat, one of those little things you can use to dig with. You can see it in the photos. He wanted to borrow it to level the back part of our yard.

I kept saying No, it'll just make a mess, it'll get stuck, all that stuff. Did he listen to me? No.

By 2pm on Sunday, he was saying "This wasn't one of my better ideas."

This is what my yard looks like now. The did manage to get the thing out of the yard. But they made a huge mess. Nice, huh?

O-M-G :faint:
I second that!

If it's any consolation, the backyard at our new house looks something like that, only with less grass. :bighug: But I bet you weren't planning on putting in an entirely new backyard, were you? :( Darren made the understatement of the year if he said that wasn't one of his better ideas! :bighug:

Hey now - just because Darren did something really stupid doesn't mean the rest of us don't know what we're doing.

It wouldn't have been so bad if he had waited for the spring thaw to pass! It was good in theory, but bad on timing! Good luck on repairing the damage & keeping the mud out of your house!

(we used to own a landscape company, so I'm talking from experience, been there, made that mistake! )

Gee, Darren! You think so!

How does he plan to fix his mess?

AND it poured down rain the day before, too. So it couldn't have been worse timing.

The dogs are dragging in the mud. Ugh! My bed is covered in dirt.

So what are you going to do now???
His "fix" is to rent a huge tiller, till up the entire side of the yard, and plant grass seed there. He'll have to fence it off to keep the dogs out. *sigh*:faint:
