I am nominating Amanda's post in the Mommitini thread. I think she hit the nail right on the head!

I think one of the problems with alcohol in this country is that nobody models responsible drinking for the kids. Having a drink or 2 with a meal or with friends in a responsible manner is totally ok! Kids in America get taught that alcohol is bad, bad, bad. This makes alcohol a "forbidden fruit." Showing that alcohol can be consumed in a positive way is healthy and good! Plus, everyone's a critic when it comes to motherhood. Give us all a break!!!
