Do you consider yourself to have an active imagination, an average imagination or are you more of a realist do you have a hard time imagining things?

Please explain/describe/comment.

How do you think others would classify your imagination?

That's a tough question!
I try to be a realist but I think that's different from having imagination. I think of being a realist as seeing things for what they are rather then trying to pretend that things are how you want them to be. I tend to be an optimist and I try to make the best out of any situation.
I think I have a decent imagination in that I can make up stories and stuff for my kids. I'm not artistic at all but I think that's a talent you either have or don't have. I actually enjoy reading fantasy books (like LOTR-type stuff) which goes along with having some imagination.
Most people would probably say I'm a realist.
I'm not sure I did a good job of answering the question so forgive my babble!!! :)

I am more of a realist. I wish I could be more imaginary but honestly I had to grow up to fast and I don't know how to dream big because for me everything has always had to be in the here and now and most of my dreams went out the door.

I am pretty sure most of my friends would also classify me this way for the same reasons. I know DH does

I took the realist part of the question out. It is something entirely differernt. Thanks, Amanda.

I have a pretty active imagination. Especially when it comes to worrying. :shuffle: But I think it also comes in very handy for empathy. And for thinking about fun things and dreams.

Please explain/describe/comment.
I think I sort of did above. I can usually mentally put myself in a situation and at least imagine what it would be like. And daydreaming (ooth about dream-ish things and running scenarios of how actual things in my day will happen) is a big part of how I spend my mental energy.

How do you think others would classify your imagination?
I think that most people would think I have an active imagination. Or an overly active imagination. :shuffle:

I'd say that I'm average to active. I can be active, but I find I have to work on it. I have some super crazy dreams so I don't know if that says anything about my imagination. :dunno:

I have a hard time imagining things as an adult. I am good with the kids and making up stories and playing doll house and such but in my own life I just don't. I don't imagine a life different, I don't imagine in two years where we will be. I hate that I can't but I just don't have it in me :dunno:

How do you think others would classify your imagination?
I am pretty much others would agree with me. I don't exude imagination either :dunno:

I consider myself to have an active imagination. Like Sheila, this comes out especially when worrying about things. But it also comes in handy when daydreaming (and hooo-boy, do I daydream). When my husband and I go out on dates, we like to use our imaginations and think up our futures...what we'll be doing 3 years...5 years...7 ..10...from now.

How do you think others would classify your imagination?
I am pretty much others would agree with me. My mom was always pressuing me to go into advertising from a young age b/c she thought I had an active imagination as a child.
