what would you do with it ... if you had to spend it on yourself or for something for you?

Darcy
November 3rd, 2006, 10:11 PM
I'd spend most of the day at the spa. Having a massage, mani, pedi, and spend whatever leftover money on a nice, fun haircut and highlights. In all my 30 years, I've never had highlights. :shuffle:

Of course this would mean I wouldn't have to pay someone to watch the kids. :)

Mandi

Hmmm I'd probably spend it at Disneyland next week. Or on Xmas gifts.

Mrs. Shae

i will admit that i chose that amount ... because i am trying to justify a new purse ...

i will be in SLC a week from Sunday ... and already checked that there is a store in the mall where i am having dinner on Monday night ...

Hm, probably clothing or scrapbooking goodies (big surprise, huh? ). I feel like I wear the same ol' crap day in & day out. I would love some cute but comfy pairs of pants & shirts. Some new shoes would be nice, too. $250? I think I could use a little more

Cute purse, Lynn! Where/what is SLC?

Salt Lake City ... i am only gonna be there from Sunday evening until Tuesday evening .. but have been there soooooo many times ... i already know where i wanna go ... and this is a short trip for me ... so i could only pick two restaurants :bawl: ...

they are forecasting rain/snow for this Thursday ... and i hope they get more when i am there ... gotta have something to look forward to after computer training  ...

$250 in scrapbooking supplies :woo: ...

Mrs. Shae

Trish ... love the new profile pic ... but it's confusing me ... you have always been the fall/pumpkin profile pic

pam
November 3rd, 2006, 10:33 PM
That sounds like a nice trip even though it's short. I've never been there. I hope you get your weather & that it stays there (well, the rain since the snow aint gonna follow you home).

I could easily drop $250 on scrapbooking stuff. Without thinking. Probably not so good.

Brandi
November 3rd, 2006, 10:36 PM
It's a toss up between scrapbooking stuff and clothes for myself. Since I'm already planning on buying some new clothes, I'll go with the scrapbooking!

Trish

I'd love to say clothes, but I don't think $250 would get me all that far. But I'd certainly try.....
So yeah...clothes. I like clothes.

If I couldn't find enough sales to get enough for my dollah, I'd go for a Cricut (on sale, of course).

Silke

Shoes and some clothes........

Bonnie
November 3rd, 2006, 11:54 PM

Julie
November 3rd, 2006, 11:57 PM
I would spend it on some facial treatments. I have been watching too many makeover shows I think

MrsPeacefrog
November 4th, 2006, 12:30 AM
I would probably pay for Lite & Easy for a few weeks. (the people that prepare your healthy cooked meals and deliver them to your door) just so I didn't have to worry about cooking my seperate meals for a few weeks.

Alysia

Cami
November 4th, 2006, 01:59 AM
If I had to spend it on me, me, me, I'd get a purse and a coat. That's probably as much as I could get. I'd fit in some new tops if there was any left.

Clothes clothes and clothes for me. I am workin on getting this baby weight off so a lot of my clothes are not working so much right now....

Lynn
November 4th, 2006, 09:42 AM
Two things immediately came to mind.
1- a night out with Keith, to a fabulous dinner and maybe a movie. A babysitter is worth it (we don't have one and we desperately need one!) to me!

2 - as silly as this sounds, I'd pay to have our bathtub reglazed. The old owners had a really bad faucet drip that ate away at the porcelain. It's just one of those things that bugs me everyday, KWIM?

Melissa
November 4th, 2006, 09:53 AM
A stand mixer. I've been drooling over them for a few years now and I think I'm getting one for Christmas! :woo:

Barb

Clothes, shoes, maybe some new make-up.

Bridget
November 4th, 2006, 09:59 AM
I'd spend it on some new cashmere sweaters from Land's End. I love theirs and I'm going to wear my old ones out at the rate I'm going!

schwanda
November 4th, 2006, 10:08 AM
I desperately need pants that fit. Don't hate me but I'm now 3 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight (one plus to my otherwise sucky job!) and none of my pants stay up. Totally annoying!!!

Hmmmm.....I'm torn. I'd probably be inclined to put it toward a cc. :heee:

If I were forced to spend it, I'd either do something for our house....like a new tub-filler faucet for our bathroom. Or a night out in Seattle would be cool - a nice dinner and a show....with a babysitter. New clothes would be nice....but it'll be a while before I could wear them.

Lynn, you just drop Aaron off any time! :)

Stacey

I'd pay for my mom to fly in for a few days. Then I'd use the rest toward a cleaning service so I wouldn't have to clean the house. (Flights from New Orleans to here aren't too pricy usually.)

Yep, it's new it opened up in mid October. It is on the branch off part leading to The Bay, same aisle thingy as The Children's Place but more to the centre of the mall, KWIM?

Well, that's interesting. Which are the best these days? I'm not in the market for one. I'm just curious.

I have a Singer that we bought around 2001 or 2002. So far, I don't have any big problems with it, thankfully.

Same as Lisa. I'd have my hair done, cut and coloured and a manicure. I might even have enough left over for a massage.
