How do you get reputation points and where do you see if you have any?

If you click User CP and scroll to the bottom it'll tell you how many points you have. You get points when someone gives them to you. You give (or take away) points by clicking on someone else's scales (in the bottom left hand corner of their post).
It's rare that I figure out how something works here well enough to explain to anyone else so I'm very, very proud of myself! :)

It's more complicated than that. I just clicked and gave you reputation and you went from 83 rep points to 94 rep points from me. Another thread was talking about some complicated formula to figure out how many rep points each person gives. Apparently some people's opinions are worth more than others or some such nonsense. That part of this game is beyond my capacity for understand..... :dunno:
