What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed?
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc)
How do you and DH share the bedding?

We have a bottom sheet (obviously), a top sheet, a cotton blanket, a synthetic down duvet and a duvet cover on top of that.
I sleep with all of it pulled all the way up to my neck. I can't stand to be cold when I'm sleeping.
Keith prefers the one leg covered, one leg hanging out method. Whatever works.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? We have a fitted sheet, flat sheet, blanet, and duvet.
Where do you sleep in them? This is an ongoing battle. I think it's normal to sleep between the bottom and top sheet. DH likes to sleep on top of both sheets and he casts aside the blanket too. I think that's nuts.
How do you and DH share the bedding? I try to move the top sheet and blanket before he gets in bed so it's all my side and I can use those, leaving him with the duvet.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed?Bottom sheet, top sheet, goose down duvet.
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc)Between the top and bottom sheet
How do you and DH share the bedding?Dh rolls over alot in his sleep and takes half the bedding with him so I've learned to wrap the duvet around and tuck it under myself so that I'm not left with no covers in the middle of the night.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed?Fitted sheet, flat sheet, down duvet, duvet cover.
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc)Between the fitted and flat sheet, but I always put the flat sheet between my legs so one side of me is wrapped up.
How do you and DH share the bedding? Some night are better than others. DH hates how I wrap up like a burrito.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet, woven cotton blanket, down comforter, duvet cover on that.
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc) On top of flat sheet, under everything else.
How do you and DH share the bedding? Very nicely. Sometimes he steals, but I just yank back. Sometimes he pokes his feet out the bottom and I will anally get up in the middle of the night to retuck the bottom in. Otherwise I can't sleep. :heee:

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet, comforter
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc) Under the comforter and flat sheet.
How do you and DH share the bedding? We tend to steal it from each other all night long. I used to be the only cover stealer but now when I get up to feed Dylan I have to fight for it back when I come back to bed.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet, silk comforter in a duvet cover
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc) Under the comforter and flat sheet.
How do you and DH share the bedding? Most of the time we share just fine. Sometimes once of us will take over and the other will have to yank them from the other person.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed?
fitted sheet, flat sheet, thermal blanket, comforter
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc)
I sleep on top of the flat sheet under the thermal blanket & comforter. I can't stand to sleep under the sheet, I can't get warm for some reason if I do.
How do you and DH share the bedding?
He works 3rd shift, we rarely share a bed.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? We have a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet (synthetic down) and duvet cover.
Where do you sleep in them? Between the bottom sheet and flat sheet.
How do you and DH share the bedding? Yup. I get the bedding on the bed, he gets the blanket on the couch.

We have a mattress pad, flat sheet, fitted sheet, cotton blanket and comforter.
Most of the time I sleep with it all pulled up to my neck like Lynn. Unfortunately Van hates having his feet stuck under the flat sheet so he kicks it to untuck it from the end of the bed.
We're pretty good at sharing but sometimes I steal the covers from Van. :)

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? Mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet - down comforter and duvet cover in the winter, lightweight quilt in the summer.
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc) On top of the fitted sheet, underneath everything else.
How do you and DH share the bedding? Pretty well; I'm a burrower and DH flings them all off in the middle of the night anyway, so I can arrange them however I like.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? Currently: mattress pad, fitted sheet, duvet and duvet cover.
Where do you sleep in them? Under the duvet.
How do you and DH share the bedding? Sharing isn't a problem. But the flat sheet is. I prefer having one and sleeping between it and the fitted sheet. He just kicks it all over the place and it ends up in a twisted ball. This time when I was making the bed, I just gave up and went the easy way.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed? Fitted sheet, flat sheet and doona.
Where do you sleep in them? Between the sheets. It depends on the temperature as to whether I have the doona on or not. I often have one leg in one leg out.
How do you and DH share the bedding? He's a hogger so I on cool nights I spend a lot of time tugging on it all to try to get some covers!
What's the difference between a duvet and comforter? And why do some of you have both of them on at the same time?

Clare, my understanding is that duvet is another word for comforter, although lately duvet seems to have come just to mean a down-filled thick blanket, while a quilt/blanket/whatever is anything not down-filled! And a duvet cover is like a wrapper that goes around the duvet either in purpose of keeping it clean (i.e., my duvet is snow white, so we have a blue duvet cover - cleaning a down-filled blanket is EXPENSIVE!) or to match the color of your bedroom.
And what's a doona?

I think they are similar~ A comforter doesn't have any removeable part to it, while a duvet is like a comforter with a removeable cover.
No freaking clue where a doona fits in however.

I wondered how long it would take me to confuse someone with the word doona  Not long, it seems!
Doona is what we call a quilt. Which I assume is what you call a duvet and/or comforter :dunno: I've only recently started using the word "doona", growing up we called it a quilt. But everyone else, including my kids say doona, so that's what I now call it!

We just have a bottom fitted sheet on the mattress, a top flat sheet, and then a doona on top of that. The doona has a removable cover too. I don't know if it helps understanding but a doona is basically two sheets sewn together filled with feathers. From my understanding a quilt does not have the feather factor. That's how I have always distinguished between the two :dunno:
I am a hot person so in summer I just sleep with nothing on me, Tony needs to have atleast a sheet on him so he uses the sheet. In winter, the sheet and doona is ample and I will sleep under the two of them. We have never really had a massive power struggle over sheets, you can guarentee that even in winter I will kick off the covers, I tend to get so hot while sleeping, so it's never a problem.

What sheets/blankets/duvets/spreads/etc are on your bed?
Fitted sheet, flat sheet, fleece blanket and comforter.
Where do you sleep in them? (ie, under all sheets, on top of everything, between a sheet and blanket, etc)
On topof the fitted sheet and under the flat sheet, blanket and comforter. In the summer it's the same minus the comforter. It usually ends up on the floor.
How do you and DH share the bedding?
I would say just fine. DH on the other hand not so much. I tend to be a cover hog and usually have to unroll myself in the middle of the night to give him some covers back.
