Another spinoff from the food threads... (at least that is what made me think of it).
Have you ever gone shopping then got home to discover you were missing something you paid for? What did you do?
I remember once buying some fish and got home and it wasn't in the bag. It was only about $10 (small piece  ) so I didn't feel like going back.
Recently, we bought Wiggles slippers for the kids and about a week later (yeah, we're messy) realized we couldn't find/didn't get home with one pair. So again, we did nothing.

I left the grocery store without all my meat once. The bagger had put it all in one bag and that bag never made it into my cart. I was pissed, but of course I didn't notice until a couple days later. At first I was afraid the bag had been left in my car...that would have been nasty.

A while ago, I had to stop getting cash back at the grocery store. I developed a bad habit of pushing the button for $20 back and then leaving the store without it. :gah:
I can get cash back now and actually leave the store with it. I am so proud!

No, but my mom is famous for this. She is forever forgetting something, then getting all upset. Considering she doesn't drive, and only notices what she forgot when she is unpacking it, it results in being a PITA for at least one other person in the family other than her.

I have but now I can't remember what it was
I guess it wasn't something REALLY important :dunno:

Travis forgot a case of beer in the bottom of the cart once. He was pissed, but wouldn't go back to the store to see if someone turned it in. He made my GRANDMA do it. (she was in town for my graduation) Surpringly it was there! :faint:

I have left a whole bag of groceries behind once or twice. I hate those round bag holder things because I'm always afraid something will be missed. I'm especially careful to check that I have my bags containing cookies and chips. :)

I have done that a few times, but the one that sticks out in my mind was when I couldn't find the baby manicure scissors at home so when I did a food shop I bought a new set. It cost around $10.
When I got home Tony and I unpacked the shopping and that was that. Then later that day I went to cut the kids nails and I couldn't find the manicure set anywhere, I asked Tony if he unpacked it and he swore he didn't, and I was sure I didn't so I checked the receipt and it was definatley on there. I got so pissed thinking the check out chick didn't pack it and I rang up the shops and told them. They said if I brought in the receipt they would replace it for me.
I did that and got home. About a week later I found the original set  Yep, Tony unpacked it
Oh wait, did that story count considering we didn't actually leave it behind?

Now that's a random act of kindness!

I know I have but it has been a long time. I am very very careful now to spin that darn round thing. I piss the cashier off all the time because she will say "that is it" But I want to be sure for myself
About 4 weeks ago I went to the store and my friend was having some guests and asked me to pick up a case of beer. I did (13$..so maybe not a case :dunno: I don't drink it  ) Anyhow I went striaght to my friends. The next day I was looking over my reciept and turns out I was charged twice for the beer. I figured there was no way to prove I had only bought one and so I let it go but I was pissed!

You know, I don't think I ever have.
Though this week, I cam ehome with something that I didn't pay for :heee: The bagger packed my bags, so I have no idea how it got in there, and it was never in my cart, so again...no idea. But Chris was unpacking when we got home and pulled out a tube of Biolage conditioner. I haven't returned it yet....

I don't think so. But recently I was charged double for something even though I only bought one. I didn't notice it until I got home.
gulp!

Yes. I bought a 15 or 24 pack of paper towels and put it on the rack underneath my shopping cart, then promptly forgot to put it in my car. I'm still sad about it!
I don't go back unless it was something really important. For example, TWICE now I've refilled my BCP prescription (which is for 2 packs at a time) and have gotten home only to discover they only put one in there. You bet your booty I go back for those!

There was one time when I was buying a bunch of stuff for a July 4th party. I put a case of soda on the bottom rack of the cart and forgot it. When I realized it, I actually drove back to the store (just around the block) and it was still there! I couldn't believe no one saw that in the parking lot and took it. Whew!

What the heck is the round bag holder thing you people are talking about?
I'm sure I have left something behind, but nothing is coming to mind at the moment. :screwy:

Nichole aren't you a Target shopper? ;) The round things are at Wal-Mart. They're like a lazy susan that holds the bags all the way around. They spin them around as the bags fill up and they're good for one thing especially - forgetting shit.

People do this all the time at Target. I'm shocked at how many bags full of stuff we have in the back.
I don't think I've ever left anything I've paid for. I'm anal about that.

Yes, I just did last weekend at Walmart with new slippers for Alex. I was so mad, but I didn't go back. I saved the receipt with all good intentions however, I haven't gone back.

What happens to it? You hold it for a while and then return it to stock?

Ah. I avoid Hell*Mart like the plague, so I guess that's why I couldn't figure it out.
