My husband got a salad with a live insect in it once.
Otherwise, besides hair I'm a no I think.
Although my MIL has a bad habit of spitting onto my plate and drink. :puke: Does that count?

Ewww! Why does she spit?
I've only had hair. It's enough to kill an appetite, though. :dead:
A college roommate had a dead roach in her food once. :puke:

hair...yes...
the grossest was not a hair but biting into a half cooked chicken breast

I had an artificial nail in my soup at Sweet Tomatoes. We told the manager and got a buttload of free coupons. Funny enough I still like to go there (I avoid the cream soups, though!)

In Italy I had a fried grub in my zuchini flower :errr: it was disgusting and I am so glad I always look at the food I am eating. It was just a matter of them not washing it out properly but still :errr:

I've had a roach 2x... once floating in a pitcher of soda at one of my birthday parties. And another time as an adult in an entree. :puke: And of course the random hair here and there.

Better then that Darcy, I'm reading it while eating! :puke:
Other then hair, I don't think so. One story that always makes me shudder though is a guy who found a dead baby mouse in his breakfast cereal :errr: He thought it was an unusually big sultana and investigated it before eating. Gross!!! (not an urban myth btw, it was on the news)

I considered writing raisin instead of sultana but didn't cause a sultana is a much bigger and juicier version of a raisin, so not really the same thing. A sultana is also the wife of a Sultan, but we don't get too many of them in our cereal

I found many tiny bugs in some Chinese food once. I was pretty young and got my meal discounted, but not free. I would totally have raised hell for a free meal now!

I found a piece of plastic the size of a dime in some hummus a few years ago. I took it back to the restaurant and all they did was shrug and say, "Oops, sorry". :dunno:

Roaches and fake fingernails... :puke:
As for my MIL... :shuffle: well for a while she was missing her front tooth and stuff would just fly out of the hole... (really) but even since then she always looks at me when she talks and she talks when she eats. :errr:
I've learned to keep my glass out of mouth shot.

My dh got a moldy sandwich from The Arena once...he hated the restaraunt before that point, so he has definitely never been back since then...I've never been there.

Yes. I found a band-aid after drinking half of a screwdriver at some popular (read: cheap) buffet place college kids would go to all the time after the bar. They offered me a (different) free drink but I declined. :puke:
At work we used to get free lunch cooked by the cons who were supervised by staff. I had a salad and found a massive big fly in it. I dumped it out but my friend told me I had to write an Observation Report so the Health and Safety Committe would get it and start being more strict about what was going on in the kitchen. He killed a different fly and taped it to the report for dramatic effect.
Which leads me to the time another co-worker found a maggot in his lunch. I insisted he had to tape it to an Observation Report. Someone said, "Oh, it's just a grain of rice." I said, "Hold it up to the light! There's guts in there! That's a maggot!"
I'm so glad that when I was pregnant and working in the office that received those reports there was no vermin taped to them.

Ok...now that I'm done snorting about deb/clare's raisin/sultana thing...
not me, but chris's roommate's girlfriend ordered chinese (as did we w/ them) and she ordered it w/o mushrooms. it came and she saw something that looked like one and she thought, "crap...they forgot." she pushed it aside and her boyfriend said, "that's not a f****ing mushroom...that's a roach!" yup. we all tossed our food. they offered them lots of free food. um...not thanks :errr:

:puke:
Nothing particular comes to mind that was in my food.
However, when I was younger and had a temporary crown on my front tooth, I was sitting at a DQ w/ a friend of mind just chattin up a storm when the crown went flying out of my mouth and landed in her fries. :loser: True story.
She still remained my friend, even after that.:bliss:
