VAMPIRE ATTACK
3 October, 2006
OUALville, 10:52pm. Moments ago, Suzi, a new resident of OUALville was attacked by a vampire. According to eye witness reports, Suzi had left her house to take a trip to Beverly's General Store to pick up some milk for her daughter Julia, and was attacked. Upon leaving the store, Beverly noticed a figure waving hello and stopping to speak with Suzi for a minute or two. It is assumed that this figure was indeed a vampire, although there has been no official confirmation at this point. Beverly did not see the attack itself, as she had other customers to attend to.
Although town leaders of OUALville had released information suggesting that the town had been infiltrated by vampires, Suzi did not heed warnings to remain in safe, well lit places after dark. Friends have reported that Suzi had laughed at the idea that “imaginary creatures” actually walked in the town.

SEARCH FEATURE
4 October, 2006
OUALville, 8:16am. As a result of the overwhelming popularity and alleged "urban sprawl" being experienced by OUALville, neighboring communities have requested that the "Search Non-Journal" feature exclude OUALville posts.
After careful consideration, the Mayor has decided to comply with this request. Residents of OUALville can search all posts to have OUALville threads to show up, or they can go directly to OUALville through the Forums page or the link at the top of each page that says "Visit OUALville." Thank you for your consideration and support in this matter.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY
4 October, 2006
OUALville, 8:19am. The Halloween Costume party, allowing members of the greater OUAL community to change their avatars and usernames during the Halloween season will be put into effect today. Members of OUALville are asked to refrain from changing either avatars or usernames for the time being.
By the end of the week, we will consider allowing avatar changing, to be reconsidered if things get too confusing. Living members of OUALville will be asked not to change their usernames until further notice. Again, thank you.

DEAD CAN DANCE, AND SO CAN VISITORS
4 October, 2006
OUALville, 8:21am. Just a reminder that just because you are dead does not mean you can't play. OUALville is one of the most ghost-friendly towns there is. Ghosts are encouraged to maintain active status in the Chamber of Commerce, and all shops and stores do extend credit to ghosts as a courtesy.
OUALville also has a very active Bureau of Tourism, which welcomes and encourages visitors to patronize the shops (and, if desired, the shop owners).
Neither the dead nor visitors are eligible to vote in Town Meetings, but other than that, they are more than welcome in the town.
