Welcome to my shop. We're located right next door to the Pie in the Sky. So after you grab some coffee and a bite to eat, head over to check out our stuff. We have tons of stationery and knitting & scrapbooking supplies. We also offer custom cards for every occasion.

So stop by for a crop or some stitching and bitching. No rugrats allowed. ;)

The Inn is currently running a special for scrap retreat weekends. I've heard they are quite popular, especially for OUALville moms looking for a child-free getaway. :)

Stacey, I'm interested in personalized poems/memory cards for my funeral home.

Do you know anyone who knits as a side business? I'd like a nice long soft cloak. :)

Sounds great! I'll get the word out to my customers. You do have proper security over there, right? I've heard of some crazy stuff happening around town.

Stacey

Bridget, a cloak sounds perfect for you. I'll put out the word for a contract knitter.

Ana, I'll start working on your memory cards.

Oh, lovely shop Stacey. I'd like to be able to shop, but unfortunately I have my kids in tow. Is there anywhere in the town that offers child care services?

Stacey
October 2nd, 2006, 02:39 PM
You know, I'm pretty new in town, but I've heard that the owner of the inn has a babysitter who comes and watches kids there from time to time. I'm sorry for any inconvenience the no-kid policy causes. But my customers always love hanging out here and getting a break from the kids. Once you find some childcare for them, head on over for some relaxing, girl time.

gulp!
October 2nd, 2006, 02:46 PM
I did have a babysitter, but she's been a little flaky on me recently so I had to fire her. :secret: I think she might be hooked on drugs, b/c she was looking extremely pale and often had a blank look in her face. Oh, and she kept raiding the fridge and eating all of my steak. :dunno:

Yes, Stacey, we have extra tight security. Other than a few windows that won't stay shut, we're locked up like a dungeoun at night over here. :)

Sandy

I have a newborn and am also interested in childcare. Who was your babysitter that you had to get rid of, Stefanie?

Stacey, I am a big fan of scrapping but rarely get to it until I am done at the shop. What are your hours?

Stacey
October 2nd, 2006, 02:57 PM
Sandy, I'm a night owl, so we're open pretty late. Usually until midnight.

Stef, that really sucks about your sitter.

Ana, how's this? Excuse the morbid poem. It's in honor of Halloween and the weird vampire rumors floating around here.

that's lovely Stacey! Poem and all!

Her name was Elvira, do you know her?

Hi, neighbor! Welcome to OUALville! :) What a great shop you've got here!

I'd love to partner up on some custom menus if you've got the time.

Jessica
October 2nd, 2006, 03:47 PM
Stacey, do you do custom business cards? I want to drum up some business for my beauty shop, especially my makeup services since there have been some really pale people wandering around town lately.

Stacey
October 2nd, 2006, 04:26 PM
Nichole & Jessica, I'm hosting a crop at the moment, but I can definitely work on some stuff for y'all.

Bridget
October 2nd, 2006, 05:13 PM
Stacey, if I got a group open for an all-night crop would you be available? I'd want you to personally host the event (gotta have the best right ;) ). I've got six people lined up already!! We're thinking we'd start about 7 and scrap till dawn!

I'm going to ask Nichole to come as well and bring some of her special pies.

Are you going to ask me to join, Madame Brydgyt? I can provide protection. Rumor on the street is things aren't always safe around OUALville.

Stacey
October 2nd, 2006, 06:41 PM
Yum, pies and kid-free, creative, girl time. I'm there. We need wine too though. ;)

Anyway, Brydgyt, I was going to ask if you'd come be a guest teacher one night. I've seen some of your art, and I like it a lot.

BTW, there are some crazy old bats knitting in here right now. They are hilarious! I love gossipy knitters. :)

Stacey
October 2nd, 2006, 06:43 PM
Umm, wow. I didn't realize we had some new law enforcement around. Thanks for keeping an eye on things, Becky. :)

October 2nd, 2006, 07:37 PM
You can have that crop here at the Inn, and I'll provide the wine. PM me Bridget, and we'll negotiate the rate. :)

Nichole
October 2nd, 2006, 07:38 PM
I'd be happy to bring some pies! I've got some deliciously fudgy brownies, too. :)

How long did the crop and knitter party go yesterday Stacey? Did you see anything suspicious?

Stacey
October 3rd, 2006, 03:45 PM
It went very well, Sandy. You should join us for the next one. No, I didn't see much. I was drunk. :scan: Bridget and I heard some howling late last night, but that was probably just some dogs, right?

I hope so. I got bitten as a child and I'm a bit jumpy now.

Sandy

Bitten by what as a child?????

Darcy
October 3rd, 2006, 05:20 PM
Stacey, if you'd like to direct your patrons to my establishment if they have kids, they're welcome to drop them off while they scrap.

I may have to check out what you have to offer one of these days. I need something to relax me, especially with the rumblings of vampires in the area.

Stacey
October 3rd, 2006, 06:17 PM
Sandy, I'm hoping Bridget meant she was bitten by dogs. :scan:

Darcy, thanks! You'll definitely be getting business from the crafty girls here. You should definitely stop by for some kid-free time sometime. I know you must need it more than a lot of us.

I wish I had the talent to scrap, do you offer classes?

Melissa
October 3rd, 2006, 07:41 PM
Can I hang a concert poster in your shop window?

Stacey
October 3rd, 2006, 08:01 PM
Welcome, everyone!

Stacey, you don't have to scrap to hang out here. We also offer stationery and custom cards. You can just grab a coffee and some pie next door and come here to chit chat and escape the little ones, if you'd like.

Deb, yes, we do from time to time. I'm trying to get Brydgyt to teach a class soon. :)

Melissa, sure, that'd be fine.

I must go. I'm actually answering my messages from home at the moment. My kids are smothering each other, it sounds like. (This is why no kids - even my own - are allowed in my shop. :secret: I love them, but damn.)

Stacey
October 3rd, 2006, 08:01 PM
Oops, Mama, I forgot to answer you. Please take a look around. We have tons of artsy-fartsy supplies. :)

Stacey, I'd like to join a Stitch and Bitch group. I've slacked off on the stitchin' but I'm totally up for the bitchin' :) Sign me up for the kid free night.

Lynn
October 3rd, 2006, 09:18 PM
Do you offer classes for beginners? I can't hang with the big kids yet.

Eva
October 3rd, 2006, 09:20 PM

Stacey

Welcome, all of you! Since we have so many coming over, I'll get Nichole to send some treats over for us. :)

Yes, Lynn, come on over. Beginners are always welcome.

I'd love to see a sample invitation :awink:

And I'll be there for the Stitch & Bitch. I have to get this scarf for my mom done!

I too am looking for an introduction class to kitting. Daytime may be preferred, since I am a single mom to 2.

Michal
October 4th, 2006, 10:45 AM
I need a custom card for my mom's birthday please.

Stacey
October 5th, 2006, 11:48 AM
I'd love to see a sample invitation :awink:
Sure. :) There are some samples posted here (http://rigsbyworld.com/bluebug/).

Clarity, happy birthday to your mom! :) Let me know what you were thinking of for her.

Amy, I'm trying to get some of the knitters around here to teach a beginner's class. I'd be in the class with you, as I don't know how to knit. :secret: ) I just decided to have a spot for the knitters b/c I like hanging out with them so much. ;)

sheila
October 5th, 2006, 01:17 PM
WOW, Stacey! You do amazing work!

I can't believe how much Cole has grown in the past 9 months:

http://rigsbyworld.com/bluebug/cole.jpg

You need to do this when OUAlville is over.

sheila
October 5th, 2006, 01:17 PM
I might be able to teach some people to knit. If I have help, and if no one asks any hard questions.

gulp!
October 5th, 2006, 01:22 PM
Stacey, obviously I know you do good work b/c I've had you make me a few cards already, but seeing your stuff all in one place just blows my mind! You really DO do good work! You really should think about opening a business. :)

Bev
October 5th, 2006, 01:41 PM
You got the date wrong! But better early than late. :awink: I'm not sure I like the veiled reference to my elderliness though!

http://rigsbyworld.com/bluebug/bev.jpg

I would be happy to help teach people to knit. We can start with some simple scarves to disguise the neck braces that Stacey (Stass) wants to start wearing for protection. :)

Stacey
October 5th, 2006, 01:44 PM
Bev :lol2: That was for my MIL's 60th. She's a Mary Engelbreit nut and picked that specific theme herself.

Thanks, Sheila and Stef. :akiss: But Sheila, that picture was taken just before Cole's 1st bday, so it's been much longer than 9 months since the pic. ;) That would be a lot of growing for 9 months.

October 5th, 2006, 01:56 PM
Oh, :duh: The kids are turning 3 this year. 3??! :faint:

Stacey
October 5th, 2006, 02:00 PM
Yup, three. It's kind of nuts. But honestly, from what I know about this crop, it doesn't surprise me that they're turning three. They all seem older than the first batch did at the same age. At least, I know Cole does.

Sandy
October 9th, 2006, 10:02 AM
Oh No Stacey! So sorry to hear about your untimely demise. Being from New Orleans, I would think you would know better than to follow bats down side streets. Ah well, at least you had a blast at Deb's place before you checked out.

I am super bummed that the place supporting my hobby is shut down. Maybe you will have some all night crops now?

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 10:18 AM
Yeah, Sandy, I know. It was dumb. I was drunk. That's not the first time I've used that as an excuse in this thread.

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 10:19 AM
Sandy, Stacey's Scraps won't be shut down. I might not be around as much, just because now that I'm dead, I'll be eating and drinking whatever I want much more often. But my patrons are welcome to come and go as they please.

MrsPeacefrog
October 9th, 2006, 10:21 AM
Well that is a hell of a way to look on the bright side! hmmmm eat and drink all you want with out consequence!!!!!

I will be casting a spell and raising the dead later tonight, I am getting The Doors and Hendrix to perform in the bar, maybe you should make an undead appearance :awink:

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 10:29 AM
Thanks, Deb. I'll try to remember to stop by. It sounds like a great time.

Bev
October 9th, 2006, 11:37 AM
Stacey, sorry to hear of your untimely death. Will you be having a sale now?

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 03:17 PM
Thanks, Bev. But sorry, no sale. I need all the money I can get now that I will be boozing it up and chowing down even more than ever.

Bev
October 9th, 2006, 05:54 PM
:nono: on the caps! Do I have to follow you around?!?

stass
October 9th, 2006, 05:59 PM
Sorry they got ya Stacey. You seem in good spirits under the circumstances.

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 06:35 PM
thanks, stacey. :)

sure, bev, you might have to follow me around. i went back and edited some, but it's a hard habit to break.

Nichole
October 9th, 2006, 06:36 PM
Before you know it, you'll settle into the no caps habit, I bet.

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 06:39 PM
probably, but i'm not sure i want to live in no-caps-land permanently.

it's nice seeing you over here, btw. getting a little knitting done?

pam
October 9th, 2006, 09:41 PM
I can't believe that I hadn't peeked into your shop yet! So cute! Do you have a schedule for your upcoming crops & stitch n bitch sessions? I haven't done any knitting since the baby was born & don't get much scrapping done at home.

Stacey
October 9th, 2006, 09:59 PM
we're pretty easy breezy around here, pam. just show up when you want, and there will likely be someone hanging out doing something crafty. sometimes a scrapper is here when someone else is knitting, but the gossip's good either way.

i usually have wine here, and nichole's pie and coffee shop is just next door if your sweet tooth is talking to ya.

I can't wait to have you over. :)

Karri
October 9th, 2006, 10:07 PM
