I accidentally threw something red in with the high chair cover...so now it's slightly pink....instead of khaki. Is there anything I can do to reverse it?

I think I've used color safe bleach when I've done that before.

Maybe an Oxiclean soak? :dunno:

I thought of it after i threw it in the dryer, too! dumbo! it's dry (even though was in the dryer for 5 min)...i will get to soak it in color safe bleach tonight and see what happens. It's a very light pink shade on top of khaki, so i guess if it doesn't come out, it's not TOO big of a deal, but still... hehe
thanks, ladies!

Btw, Nichole, does Oxyclean stuff really work?

Lena, there is a RIT red dye remover. It is sold at Target/Walmart/grocery stores, etc. It's usually where the laundry stuff is but certainly wherever the dye is located. Works like a charm.

I've done the red dye remover that Suzi recommended. They have it at Woodman's, as well. :) Don't fret--it seems to happen to all of us. Oxiclean works well for getting out food stains, but I've never tried it on red dye.

Lena, I've never tried OxiClean with red dye, but it's great for removing poo blowout stains :giggle: and dirt stains. I don't care for the weird residue it leaves on clothes, but it comes out with an extra rinse.

The Rit Dye Remover is the only thing that will take it out. It may lighten up the khaki a tad, but it'll work great. Oxyclean won't work with dye. Trust me.

Thank you, Nichole and Karri...

Karri, would any regular grocery store carry Rit Dye Remover or do i need to go to some specialized store?

My grocery carries it. I would think any one would. Its in the laundry isle.

Rit Dye products are also at some fabric stores (like JoAnn fabrics), and as said grocery stores and Target / Walmart.

Problem: Color Bleeding

Solution:
Use Rit Color Remover to help remove color from dye-transfer stains on washable 100% white fabrics without damaging garment fibers. Rit Color Remover will reduce color from colored items and white items with any colored areas.
Note: Not for use on blue denim. http://www.ritdye.com/images/rit_color_remover_sm.jpg
