Hi all.

Daniel is a walking machine these days. He's almost 10 months old and he's been walking for 3 weeks. At this point, he walks most of the time and is running alot, too.

However, he won't walk or stand with anything on his feet! Not with socks, soft leather Robeez-type shoes, or white walking shoes. He just sits there and pulls on them.

Is this normal? Should I just keep trying? Will he eventually just figure it out? He won't be able to walk around barefooted once fall comes.

Katie had a texture problem when she started walking, she didn't want anything on her feet at all. I think with the one skill being so new her brains couldn't handle the new texture and skill. She had problems walking barefoot on grass (literally flipped out!) and sand. It didn't take her long to get over it though, I just kept trying.

He's still pretty little. I'd wait a few more months before worrying about it. You never know, by the time fall rolls around, he might be over it.

I wouldnt worry, either. Actually, at this point, its better for him to walk barefoot anyway.
Elliott hated shoes when he first started walking, too (and he was quite a bit older than Daniel). I recall being at WDW in January (which means he was 15 mo) and I couldnt get shoes on him for the life of me. He screamed if I tried.
