Hi everyone! My DH's boss is letting us use his IL's GORGEOUS 6 bedroom beach house for FREE! the weekend of March 12-14. We've looked a bit online for things to do and decided on Ripley's Aquarium (http://www.ripleysaquarium.com/) so far. It looks so awesome! What else is there to do? The house is in the Cherry Grove section. I am so excited :jump2: I've never been to MB! We're taking the kids which will be fun (though we would have LOVED to have a weekend alone :love2: - some other time I guess!) and they are 10, 5 and 19 months. Thanks!!! :)

How awesome, Jen! :jump: I've only been to MB once but I loved it! We mostly spent our time at the beach since Peyton was too young for any touristy stuff and we ate out every night. They have tons of great seafood places down there and we did like Barefoot Landing (I think that's what it's called. ) You guys will have so much fun!

It's very well known for golf, but I guess that's out this time. :) Hope you have a great time. :)

There's a place called the Pavilion - it's got an arcade, rides, etc. I forget exactly where it is, but it's hard to miss! It's a really great place to take the kids.

There are a lot of mini golf places too - although I guess the 19 month old will be too young for that. Maybe you and the other two can mini golf and just take the youngest along?

I used to live in MB and there is so much to do. For kids the best place to play is on the beach but with it being mid-March that will all depend on the weather I'm sure. There are also a ton of mini golf places that they will enjoy. Ripley's Believe it or Not museum is on Ocean Blvd near the Pavillion, take 17 business south to around 10th Ave, you will see the Roller Coaster and other rides on the left. There used to be a wax museum across from Ripley's as well. There is a place called Alligator Alley at Barefoot. As the name states, they have tons of Alligator and other wildlife. They have live feeding shows and a nice boardwalk that walks you through the swamp so you can view them. Not sure of their hours this time of year.

There are tons of places to shop. Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach are nice. There is a mini golf course at Broadway near the IMAX that is fun. There is a new outlet Mall at 17 and Kings RD, across from Walmart. Outlets on 501 N, some at Waccamaw and some further North on the right, these are very close to Conway. I know they are building a new mall on 17bypass near 501 but I don't think it is open yet.

Cherry Grove is a nice area. I'm sure you will like it. Very quiet and family friendly. I hope you have a great time.

Thanks for the info girls :aok: I've done some research on the places you've suggested and it all looks great! A couple people at UB recommended Original Benjamin's to eat, and I found gift certificates on ebay for a GREAT deal :jump:

Anyone else with something to share?

Dockside Restaurant in Calabash is usually pretty good. If you want a good pizza, go to Benito's Brick Oven Pizzeria. They have a couple, one on 17 near NMB and one at Broadway at the beach.

You can find coupon books at any of the grocery stores.
