We used to get the local paper delivered. I stopped that over a year ago b/c I just found I couldn't read them quick enough. I do miss getting them though and have been debating on subscribing again.

Do you sub to your local newspaper (or other paper like Washington Post, NY Times, etc)?

We do get our local paper. I am a news junkie and couldn't imagine not having the newspaper! :errr: I may not always get to read it right away, but I do read it. We initially started just getting the weekend paper, but after a while they said we had been such a loyal customer that we'd get the weekday papers for free; how could I pass that deal up?

I don't. I should since I'm in the news business, but I can read it at work for free. :)

Like Mandi, I can't read it all fast enough and it just ends up being clutter.

No, we used to, but like everyone it just ended up being clutter. I just pick up a Sunday paper at the Grocery store every week. I am a news junkie too, but even with the paper, I found that I was getting my news from either the Internet or FoxNews and wouldn't end up reading most of the paper.

I read it at work but typically go buy one of all the Sunday papers (mostly for the coupons, though :blush1: ) I get most of my news from the web and TV anyway.

I get the sunday paper sometimes for the coupons and I am a web and TV person for news. So no need for the extra junk that comes with the paper.

We get it. I bring it to work during the week so that gets rid of the clutter.

We get the Sunday paper for coupons.

We get it every day, but I'm thinking of cutting back to just weekend delivery because of the clutter. I barely get a chance to read it and prefer to get my news fix online or on NPR in the car.

We get the Sunday local paper delivered. On occasion they'll start delivering the daily paper too for no extra charge but I have no time to read it, so it goes directly into recycling. Which I tell them is wasteful so they stop.

No, but we're thinking of seeing if they'll do just Friday/Saturday. No Sunday paper here. They will also send out just the flyers so I have to phone to do that.

We used to get the Sunday paper delivered and for a while, they included the rest of the week for free. Other than Sunday, I rarely read them that day. But that's ok, I treat the newspaper like a magazine rather than a source of the latest news. We also got a weekly magazine delivered for "free", but a neighborhood kid would come around periodically to ask for payment.

 I just cancelled the Boston Globe-

We got it everyday- and we couldn't keep up with it- I love the Sunday Globe and will probably go and buy it at the store-

We get the paper delivered 7 days a week. I wouldn't say I'm a news junkie, but I like to know what's going on. I like to read it at night, after the kids have gone to bed.

Oh, I do get the New York Observer every week :blush1:

Nope. All of our news comes from the internet and the 10 o'clock news (internet more than TV).

We get the paper delivered--two papers actually. We get the local paper and the Chicago paper delivered 7 days a week. Phil takes the Chicago paper to work and I read the local one in the morning. I'm a news junkie.

We get the Sunday paper delivered every week and I usually read almost the whole thing over the course of the day. I can't imagine not getting it....its relaxing and like a ritual that I grew up with. We subscribe to it for a year, because it makes it much cheaper.

No daily paper....no time for that. No other papers, either. When Chris travels, he'll usually bring home a USA Today and I'll skim through that, but if I need to catch up on any non-local news, I typically turn on CNN.

We used to, but I couldn't keep up with it and it just piled up. There is a really small local paper that we get 2x a week though. :) We aren't paying for it, so I called and asked them why we're getting it and the girl told me that if the delivery people have some leftover after putting them in the subscriber's boxes, they'll just randomly put them in other paper boxes. So, we've just been getting lucky all this time! :aok:

My MIL saves all the good coupons for me from her Sunday paper. :)

We get the Sunday paper delivered, but I've waffled for a year over whether to just cancel it. Most of the time, I barely look through it, though there are a few sections that I try to get to. And if we're going to any open houses, I like looking in the paper b/c the open house listing is usually much more accurate than what I find on the web.

Still, though, it's usually a waste here. I just can't imagine NOT getting it.

No. I can't stand newspapers because they pile up too quick for my taste. We currently have one newspaper in town and I don't feel that the important information is unbiased enough to bother with it.

Nope. No paper here.
Jim gets his at work and I follow current events on cnn or online. I don't watch our local news either(not fond of the soundbites).

Nope....my mom does though and doesn't read it- so I usually take hers if I want to read.

I usually just get the Sunday paper. Aaron and I walk to the gas station a few blocks away and it's our Sunday ritual. I was going to get it delivered but they were going to include the Saturday paper too and I know I'd never read it.

We also have a free (or donation) paper that is delivered every Tuesday. I like it because it's usually geared for our quadrant of town. It has good coupons for local restaurants, info on nearby festivals or activities, and classifieds for items that are no more than 5 miles away.

We get our daily local paper, but Sunday is the only day I insist I be able to read it cover to cover -- peferrably in peace. Sometimes that doesn't happen til 9 p.m., but I'll take it.

The daily paper, I generally read a few stories in each section on the fly. I'm excited because all of a sudden, Connor and Lilly are interested in it too. Usually we all read the comics together at the lunch table (they call that the babies section!). Sometimes they "read" the ads too. It's cute.

I read our local free paper, we used to get the major paper delivered but hated the hassel of having to pay a paper boy and it was too much money to pay for 6 months up front on visa so we said screw it  the same paper has a limited online version so, if need be I go there.

We have the Sunday Indianapolis paper only delivered, but now they include a Wednesday in the price since it has all the grocery ads in it. We also get the twice a week dinky local paper delivered, mainly so we can laugh at the crappy journalism

Last week ours had a story about cows getting loose on the street. It talked about the police being in "Hoof pursuit"

We get 2 newspapers delivered. My dh reads them in the mornings and then I throw them away. I read the news online. I really hate the ink from the papers!

We get the St. Louis paper Sunday edition only. The coupons and ads come on Saturday afternoon and the rest of the paper gets delivered on Sunday morning. Bizarre.

We get a couple free papers delivered. We never requested them, they just show up. I have no idea what days they come and I rarely look at them. I really should though

Nope. The only newspaper we buy is on Saturday. DH reads it but I don't.
