I've been selling Sarah's old Gymboree stuff from last fall and winter this week on ebay. I had a buyer purchase a dress from me for about $10 (give or take). They're from Canada - which is fine - they paid me and I can't print their postage on PayPal without their phone number for the customs form. I've e-mailed them asking for their phone number and why I needed it and they didn't reply. I think that was Sunday or Monday. I just e-mailed them again asking for their phone number and explained that I can't ship the item without this information.

The question - should I try taking the item to the post office anyway and ship it? The green customs form I grabbed from the post office doesn't have a slot for a phone number on it. My problem with going there is that they'll charge me for delivery confirmation and generally won't let me add it unless I pay for priority mail whereas I can print my label online and get DC online.

What should I do? They did pay their money, but I'm stuck here unable to ship their item because they won't give me their phone number. Should I try getting their phone number from ebay and just putting that on the customs form?

I realize in the future I'll have to tell any international buyers I need their phone number for customs.

Oh yeah, Canada 411 won't work if the number is new or if it is unlisted.

I think you have the right to ask ebay for their # in this situation!
