How how/humid is it where you are right now? http://www.weatherperhour.com/

Clare and Deb, you winter people don't count! (But tell us anyway!)

Current temp here, past 8pm: 82F. Heat index: 83F. Humidity 54%.

Commentary: it feels way freakin hotter and stickier than that, IMO! :dead:

Melissa

Our high was 98 with a heat index of 102. Right now it is 92, but feels like 99.

:tongue2:

Right now it's 1 degree celcius = 33F = f.r.e.e.z.i.n.g :cold: It's supposed to get up to 20C today (68F).

I just heard on the news that people are dying in Europe from the heat

Today was a drastic change from Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday. Holy moly. Today it was crisp and wonderful and I turned off the a/c and let the breeze blow through the house.

:catfight: :heee:

Well its

Temp: 13.3 C (55F)
Feels like -10
Relative Humidity is 59%
but the wind has a chill factor that is shocking today!

I know you "snow" winter people up there in the northern hemisphere think I am nuts but it is BLOODY FREEZING! :cold: I am not bunging it on, my toes are frozen, I have the heater on full blast and my kids are wearing beanies outside while playing

Because it's been thunderstorming since 6pm:

Temp: 72 Feels Like: 72
Dewpoint: 66
Humidity: 79%

But earlier today it was 96 with a feels-like of 104. My poor father is an electrician (hello, buildings with no AC!), and they are NOT ALLOWED to wear shorts. It's an OSHA thing he says, but I told him that if they all took turns fainting at an appointed time, I bet they'd be allowed to wear shorts pretty quickly!

But it's like 95 degrees in my house with the a/c on. If I knew having a tar roof would make my house so hot I would have reconsidered before buying. We've got to do something about that before next summer. Today was a little cooler, not in the high 90's.

Like Karri said, a huge HUGE difference from a week ago. We got hit with a nasty thunderstorm last night (our power outage was *only* 12 hours, as opposed to some in our county who will be out until THursday! ) and it did wonders to cool things off. It felt like heaven to open the windows today since we've had the c/a on for a week. :)

MSN weather said our humidity last night was 78.4% and I was wondering if that was very high (it seemed to me to be very high), and I can see from many of your posts that it IS in fact high. There wasn't even an inkling of rain; you could just about slice the air. I feel like an oil slick most of the time!
