It seems like a lot of our kiddos have been a flowergirl or ring bearer in weddings lately. So post those pictures, and tell any funny stories!

Here's Riley at my brother's wedding June 3.

**Copied from my journal**

The other bridesmaids went, then the other flower girl. I get Riley to the door, remind her to go slow (because she was walking really fast at the rehearsal), get flowers on both sides of the aisle and make sure she smiled, then go to Daddy. All things we had rehearsed and talked about for weeks...............

Apparently we had prepared her too much.

While she was walking through the back part of the sanctuary where there were no pews, I snuck in and over to watch. She slowly walked her way to the first set of pews, STOPPED, dug in her basket for both lavendar petals and green leaves because she apparently needed both, dropped a few on the right, then dug back in and dropped to her left. Then she took 2-3 teeny steps, STOPPED at the next pew, dug in for petals, dropped to the right, dug back in, dropped to the left, then a few teeny steps to the next row of pews, and STOPPED again. For TWENTY FIVE ROWS OF PEWS! It seriously took her FIVE minutes to walk down the aisle.

I was dying laughing, my brother was cracking up, David is standing up front as a groomsman trying to get her attention as nonchalantly as he can to tell her to hurry and everyone in the church is giggling. My mom was in the front row and said after the first flower girl came down she heard tittering in the back, then giggling and by the time she could see the top of Riley's head and see what she was doing, everyone was laughing. She FINALLY got to the front, stepped up in front of David, turned around and gave me a huge smile and big old thumbs up. Then she saw Jacob in the back and gave him thumbs up and then my mom! The cutest freaking thing EVER!!!

Kaleb and Jacob were ushers, and David was a groomsmen. Poor O wasn't old enough or he would have been the ring bearer :)

Caroline as a flowergirl at BILs wedding in November 2004. The other little girl, SIL's neice Madison, was a point of annoyance for Caroline because everyone kept talking about how well Madison did at the rehearsal and she's even younger than Caroline, blahblahblah. Caroline even said at one point "why is that so great?" And because we were coming in from out of town, we couldn't be there for the rehearsal, so the only understanding of the whole event was what I had taught Caroline.

So we get everyone lined up at the back of the church, and I told Caroline I would have Hammie the Pig for her at the front when she made it all the way down the aisle. So the doors opened, people started going through, and I RAN down the side aisle of the church so that Caroline would be sure to see me with Hammie at the front and not be nervous. About two steps after this picture was taken, Madison turned and ran back to her mother the MOH. Caroline and the ringbearer continued, with her smiling at everyone like the Queen of the Hop. Caroline got down to me at the front of the church and said in a very loud voice "Madison just FREAKED OUT but I kept going!" :lol2: And to this day she says that she was in a wedding and got to be the only flowergirl because the other flowergirl freaked out. :locolaugh

Connor and Lilly were ring bearer and flower girl for my brother's wedding in May (there were two other flower girls -- my neice Ashley and the bride's cousin). They all did great at the rehearsal, and everyone but Lilly was flawless at the wedding. Lilly got yelled at by the wedding coordinator just before walking down the aisle. So she walked, and cried, the whole way. Poor kid! They were adorable though.

My daughter was the flower girl for our wedding. The ringbearer is the son of my MOH.

Emily was our flowergirl in 2000. She was 14 months old. She was supposd to be a fairy but wouldn't wear her headband or carry her wand.

My daughter thought the ring bearer was a BEAR! She was quite disappointed to find out the ring bearer was a person instead!
