I know I'm probably being a big baby but I'm really getting myself worked up about my baby boy(ok yeah he's 5) heading to school this fall. When he was born was when I became a SAHM. I've always been with him, so he's kinda a mama's boy and he has an older and younger sister so he can be a whinner at time. My girls are drama queens and he's picked up on that. I also worry about my younger daughter being lonely without him. Anyone out there have a hard time? He's not even my baby I can't imagine how back it will be. I cried at the information meeting back in April. I'll be histarical by the time the bus comes!

I still have another year before my baby goes...but I know I will cry..I cried when my firstborn when to K, so I'm sure I'll cry when each goes to K..LOL.
I just try to think that each milestone brings new things and new experiences for them, and they'll still be our "babies".
And try not to cry until after he leaves or you drop him off...I didn't want Josh to get more nervous or upset seeing me cry but he went right in fine.

Alyssa will be in 5 -1/2 days preschool with Kara's little boy Austin this year. I cried when she went off to 2 -1/2 days preschool last year. She is my little trooper though and she wants to be there in the worst way so I have no choice but to give her those opportunities. It is always hard with each milestone they hit but they are growing up and I guess as parents we have to sit back and guid them!

Brenda, I try not to think about it  I totally understand what you're going thru :bighug:
My older boy is going to K this coming fall and I know I'm gonna be a mess!! He was going to pre-K twice a week but I know this would be totally different since he will be gone 5days a wk from 8-3!!! I know I'm gonna miss him so much! :(
When I think about it, I start getting all worked up and I keep trying to think about positive things like, it will be a chance to have some great one-on-one time with my 2yr old something we don't get as much and my first one got for the first 3yrs in his life. And I will be able to catch up around the house or work stuff while he's at school and my 2yr old nap time so I don't have to stay up all night trying to catch up.
It works sometimes but I know I'm gonna cry that first week!! I'm just gonna try very hard not to do it while he's around :)
