I am at my wits end with Aiden, I think I have mentioned this before with his fear of the bathroom light.
But now he has brought this fear to his bedroom light. It does not matter if it's turned on or off, but he always walks into his room and the first thing he looks at is the light. He never walks directly underneath it, and when it's bedtime he freaks out (he is on the top bunk so obviously high up close to the ceiling and the "light")
He screams and cries that he is scared, and he really gets worked up. He won't tell me what it is about the light that scares him, just that he is scared of it. I have told him that the light is his friend (this has worked with getting him to take showers instead of baths etc) but it's not working.
I know he is trying to use it as an excuse to get into my bed, or have me stay there until he falls asleep.
Any idea's on how I can get him to not be "scared" of the light anymore?
