When Aidan was first PT'd, when he'd have a bath, he didn't want to wear underwear when putting on PJs. We didn't fight it, and then even on nights when we went right from clothes to PJs and he was dressing himself full-time, he would take off his underwear. When Colin was first PT'd we just left underwear on him at night, but lately he doesn't want to wear it either (he also dresses himself) and I don't push it at all.

The only other family I reguarly see getting into PJs often brings a fresh pair for their one PT'd kid and he wears them with underwear.

What do your kids do? Underwear or no underwear? If underwear, do they get a new pair before bed? And if they do, do they wear it first thing in the morning again too or do they get another new pair for the day?

Aidan is back in pullups right now while we battle bedtime accidents, but prior to that, he was commando at bedtime. He doesnt like undies w/ jammies (i dont blame him, I dont either. but i never pushed him towards making that decision).

I guess we just go through a lot of undies. I never thought about it but both Tylor and Alyssa put on a clean pair after their baths and in the morning. They both wear them to bed. :dunno:

Emma wears undies under her pj's. If she's had a bath that night, she gets a fresh pair and often will wear them the next day. Sometimes she puts new ones on again in the morning b/c she feels like it.

If it's not a bath night, she'll keep the same undies on for sleeping and get a fresh pair in the morning.

I just started putting Kaden in PJs with no underwear a few days ago and wondered if anyone else did that. Most of his PJs are shorts anyway so they are similar to underwear.

My main motivation for doing this is because he must go to sleep with a sippy of water under his arm and often times he wakes up with damp underwear because he can't quite hold it all night. It's never fully wet but damp enough that obviously the pjs and underwear get washed. I figure I would cut down on the amount of underwear I have to buy and wash by eliminating them at bedtime and starting with a fresh pair in the am.

Kalyssa takes a bath every night so she will put on a fresh pair at bedtime (right after bath) and wear them the next day. I would never let her wear undies the next day unless she had a bath.

Emily wears undies to bed. She puts on a fresh pair after her bath at night and wears them the next day. I'm not fussed if she wears undies under her pj's or not, but her father insists.

Harry normally doesn't wear undies under his pjs. But he doesn't necessarily wear them during the day either :rolleyes: He's a commando type of guy.

Both girls are pt'ed. They get a fresh pair of panties after their evening bath and wear them the next day too. :nod: The only time I change them the next day is the very rare times they have accidents.

Caroline wears underwear under PJs, but that's likely because she's one of the rare kids in the world who dislikes going unclothed. If it's a bath night, she gets a fresh pair post-bath and then a new pair in the morning. If not a bath night, she wears them all night and then a new pair in the morning.

Add Alyssa to this list. She hates to not be clothed. SHe even wants long sleeves and pants in 85 degree temps :lol:

Mostly he does, but sometimes he does not. My gma always told me you weren't supposed to wear underwear to bed :lol: he gets new underwear in the morning, unless he had a bath and got new ones the night before.

Maia wears undies to bed, but she's usually in a nightgown. Even if she's not though, she wears undies.

The boys don't wear undies to bed under their pjs, but Lily does. Although she usually wears night gowns.

Which is why I at first used to send Emily to bed naked under her jammies, but Alex objected, so she wears undies. (I can see his point if she's in a nightgown but I don't get it with pj's :dunno: )

The girls wear nightgowns typically, but since they are still in diapers (when they leave them on :disbelief ) I've not crossed this bridge yet :)

Kaitlyn has never worn undies under her jammies - or nighties for that matter. It was that way when I was a kid - and I just have done the same with Kaitlyn.

My sister doesnt put underwear on her son, under his pyjamas either.

Now, if we have company - then she will wear her undies under her nightie until bedtime, then take them off for bed, and then put on a clean pair in the morning when she gets up.

EXACTLY! :lol: been there done that stood in the middle of the road at 2am with just a tshirt on due to fire..won't do it again.. My kids and I alway's wear undies with jammies. If I had a boy I'm pretty sure it would be the same way.

Connor and Lilly put fresh undies on with their PJs and another fresh pair in the morning. Unless we're getting PJs on somewhere other than home (like my parents' or sister's) and I've forgotten to pack fresh undies. Then Lilly will wear the old ones and Connor will go commando, which he recently declared to be his favorite way to be. Boys! :lol:

Mason doesn't wear underwear with his pj's. He stopped wearing pull-ups and omitted that whole step from dressing himself at night time.

It's much easier because if he does have an accident then I only have to wrestle off one soaking wet garment in the middle of the night rather than two. :lol:

Dugan has never worn underwear with his PJs (only pullups when he was in them) Isabelle is still in diapers. I would have her wear underwear with nightgowns though when she is out of diapers, but not pants/shorts.

Christopher wears a clean pair of undies under his jammies and then gets a clean pair in the morning. Patrick is PT'd during the day but still wears a diaper at night much to his dismay. I keep telling him he can wear underwear once he proves that he can stay dry but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet.
