I was just digging back to see when Aidan and Colin crawled...of course to compare them to Jack, who is 8,1/2 months and not crawling forward. So when did your kids really crawl? Not army or backwards, but more of a traditional crawl?

Aidan was a week shy of 8 months and Colin was 8 1/2 months.

Caroline was probably a week shy of 9 months to start crawling - the end of August. Then she didn't take a single step until 15 months.

Micayla hardly crawled at all. She almost went straight to walking. I think she didn't crawl until around 10 months (walking at 11)

Melayna started crawling close to 8 months old.

Brayden was crawling by 6 months.

Alyssa and Tylor hardly crawled either. They started crawling at 5 months and by 6 months both were cruising. Tylor took off walking at 8 months and Alyssa at 9 months. It was not good :lol:

Aidan walked at 10.5 months, Colin at 15. Other than the "will he ever do it" worries, it was nice to have Colin be less mobile for longer.

Emma was like Micayla- she didn't crawl until 9 or 10 months, and was walking at 11.5 months.

Krishan crawled around 7 months or so, and started walking at 10 months.

Carter crawled at 10 months and Heather crawled at 12 months (but Heather was slightly delayed).

Holy cow!! Alex was a late bloomer in the gross motor skill department. :lol: He didn't start crawling until he was 12 months (just after his birthday), and didn't take his first steps until 15 months. Of course, being in a body cast for 3 weeks at 10 months old didn't help things any. :lol:

Emily was late, I want to say 9 months but I think it might have been closer to 11 months. The boys were earlier, around 7 months I think.

I can't remember most milestones :blush1: but for some reason I remember exactly when Caleb started crawling and it was mid-January at exactly eight months. Ahna is easier to track because their birthdays are so close together. She didn't start until 9 1/2 months. And even though she crawled, she didn't move to what I term "speed crawling" for a long time - she just crawled if she specifically wanted something. Otherwise she was happy to sit on her butt!

Julia never did crawl, she went straight to cruising at 7-8 months old.

I don't really remember either. :blush: I know Jackson was a late crawler, I think he was around 11 months old when he started. He was walking pretty much full time about 2 weeks after his first birthday, he didn't crawl for long.

Caroline was one week shy of 9 months and was walking 1 week shy of 11 months... Courtney was 12 months before she could crawl, but she was delayed in a lot of gross motor. Tatum was 7 1/2 months.

Emma was 7.5 months.

Abby started moving at around 5 months and then on her knees crawling at exactly 6. She then started walking at 10 months.

Sarah was really delayed and crawled the day after she turned 15 months. She pulled up a few weeks later and started to cruise within days of pulling up. I think she'll be walking pretty soon.

Kaitlyn crawled at 10 months and didnt walk until 16 months.


My nephew NEVER crawled... he scooted on his bum and then went from that to walking.

Austin didn't crawl until he was 18 mos old after almost a year of physical therapy.


Liam crawled at 6 1/2 months.
Lily about the same.
Isabella not until 8 mos.

Dugan crawled at about 7 months and was walking just a week shy of his 1st birthday.

Isabelle crawled at 6 months and I believe started walking a little after her first b-day.

Matthew didn't crawl until a week before he was 11 months and he started walking 3 weeks later.

Sara crawled at 7 months and started walking a few days before she turned 1.

Both of mine were crawling by 8 months and walking by 12 months.

Both at right around 8 months, I think.

Gee, I can't really remember, either. :blush1: I think it was around 10 months for Jackson and 7 months for Gavin. I'd need to read through my old journals to find out for sure. Ooh, I could look at pictures to figure it out, I bet! :idea: If I get the motivation to do that, I'll let you know. :lol:

Aaron was a late bloomer as well. He crawled at 10.5 months and walked at 13.5 months.

Nathaniel starting crawling at 8 months but didn't walk until 15 months. He was a speed crawler extraordinaire though!
Jessica is already showing interest in crawling but I'm sure she won't really be able to do it for a while (at least I hope!).

Thanks for all your responses. Between going back to read my own journals to see when my other boys were crawling and seeing that some of your kids were on the later end of time with crawling, I feel better. :)

Catherine was ablut 9 months when she started crawling, and it wasn't until about 14 months that she started walking.

Geez my boys couldn't be more different.

TJ crawled at 5.5 months. Walked at 10.5 months.
Evan crawled at 13 months and walked at 15.5 months.

Christopher crawled at almost 11 months (although he was pretty good at rolling everywhere) and walked at 14 months. Patrick crawled at 6 months and was walking about a week before his first birthday. Nathan will be 7 months old next week and can only army crawl at this point.

Catherine rolled everywhere too! I had forgotten about that for a sec. It cracked me up!

Daniel and Rebekah both crawled at around 6 months.
