4 months old... Lauren eats typically 4-5 times a day (breastfed)
I am now supplementing her diet with cereal 1x in the morning and 1x while we are having supper. I make sure to nurse her first.
Does that seem right for a 4 month old? She nurses when she wakes in the am... then again after her morning nap (which lasts until 1pm), then again just before we have supper, then sometimes has a quick feed before her bath and then her last feeding is just before she goes to bed (after her bath).
From a bottle, she will take 5-6oz of ebm or formula.

I think it sounds right. Each baby is different; if she's satisfied then that's perfect. :) I can't believe she's 4 months already! :disbelief

At 4 months, my kids ate alot more than that (bf'ed). They were eating every 2 hours or so. But they weren't getting cereal then either, so that would make a difference. I'd say that as long as she seems satisfied and is gaining weight, then it's fine.

Anya (4 1/2 months) will BF or have a bottle (daycare) every 3 hrs during the day 6 AM - 9 PM (6 to 7 feedings). When she has a bottle, she drinks about 5 or 6 oz. No solids.

I think that as long as she is gaining & is satisfied that all is okay. I think that babies around that age normally need about 24 oz per day & it sound like she is in that range.

Regina ate 6 times a day at that age. I think if Lauren's weight is all right, then it's nothing to worry about.

Re: Laurens weight gain... I have to chuckle - because thats the reason we were given the A-ok to start her on cereal at 4months, rather than waiting until 6months. She is gaining REAL well and was cluster feeding pretty much round the clock - it was making me physically ill having to feed/nurse her so often :)
She has her 4month Dr appt this Friday for her next weigh in and shots. I am anxious to see where she sits with her weight gain this time.
At 2 months she was 13 lbs - up from 7lbs 8oz at birth :) Right now, she is wearing 6-9 month clothing.
BEV--- I should have her into the outfit you sent me in no time at all :) I WILL send you a picture. :)

Kaden is 4.5 months and has been drinking 8 oz during his feedings for over a month now. He is a REALLY big eater!!! He usually has 3-4 bottles a day. I've tried giving him cereal but he wants NOTHING to do with it right now!! He weighed 16 lbs the last time he was weighed a few weeks ago. My guess is he's 17 lbs by now. How much does Lauren weigh?

I am guesstimating that she is around the 16lb mark. I will know for certain this coming Friday :) I stood on the scale with Lauren and subtracted that weight from my weight when I am alone on the scale - it was 16lbs difference.

Kaden is wearing 6-9 month clothing too. It sounds like they are about the same size.
Got any pictures for us to compare?
