Today starts summer for us here. Meaning kids are out of school and my Nanny job becomes more like an in home daycare. Today I have my two plus a 9 year old girl and Timmy who is 11 months.

Today we had
Chicken Nuggets (baked)
French Fries (baked)
Watermellon

Tomorrow I am thinking
Hot Dogs (Timmy will not have this)
Mac N Cheese
Apple slices (diced for Tim)

After that I am at a loss. While Timmy still eats Baby-food I would rather get him on to table food (his parents are first timers and love how I have introduced foods to him). I like the idea of making one meal for all. I know there will be days when that is not possible but I thought about

Ham, turkey, (meat) sandwhiches and just dice it up for Timmy but what else with it and what are some other idea's. My kids are picky so that makes it hard to. The one's I baby-sit are not but mine are

Oh...and today they ate out at the picinic table..LOVED THAT. I like the idea of keeping the mess outside!

For something a little different, I roll ham/turkey and some cheese in a tortilla and Julia loves it. We also do quesadillas - they are easy and yummy! Other things we have for lunch:

Pasta salad
Egg/Tuna/Chicken salad
grilled cheese
diced chicken breast with a veggie/cheese plate

Just about all of that can be given as finger food to an 11-month old.

I like to buy the packages of mini pita bread at TJ's. I put anything in them and Brookelyn loves them, I do to!

Lunch is always a stumper for me too.

I serve PBJ occasionally; it's got protein and grain; served with milk and fruit you're getting four of the five food groups. Or you could just make it PB toast and skip the jelly. Which reminds me of cheese toast but then you have to also serve some kind of protein which is usually my stumper.
